"i heard coach will announce the new captain later," mark spoke, tying up his shoelaces.
serim shrugged. "probably. why, you wanna be the captain?"
"hell no. i can't even deal with my own problems. why would i lead a bunch of idiots?" mark laughed along with serim.
jake shakes his head while putting on his socks. he wasn't in the mood when he woke up this morning, but he didn't have a choice since the coach scheduled him for a morning practice.
he doesn't see jay around so he's guessing that he'll be practicing in the afternoon. it feels a bit weird that he's getting awkward around the guy, and he doesn't even know why. i mean, we've been best friends for years... why would i feel uneasy towards him? that's just crazy.
jake shakes the thought out of his head. it's nothing, and he's just probably being weird due to the fact that he's still deciding whether or not he would give up on heeseung.
i know i've thought about him being my ex crush... but i can't.
"by the way, jake." he raised his head when mark called him. "i saw you at heeseung's party last weekend. it looked like jay was dragging your dead body out of the bar."
"ah haha... i was- i had too much to drink." jake laughed to cover up his embarrassment.
"it's good to drink a lot, i mean it's a party so might as well get wasted right?" serim interjects.
mark agreed. "totally. especially if i had jay as my best friend, i wouldn't worry about my body ending up floating in the han river since i know he'd be willing to carry me home." he chuckled while playing with the ball.
"jake's lucky he's got jay to babysit his drunk ass." serim high-fived mark while laughing.
jake only smiled at them. he's used to jay taking care of him so it feels odd hearing those words from other people. it's what best friends do right? i mean i would also be carrying jay if he was the one getting drunk.or not.
