Iron Man swerves around a building and faces the Chitauri leviathan. He pulls out his miniature multiple rocket launcher and fires.
The chitauri leviathan roars in annoyance. The chitauri leviathan turns to him. "We got his attention. What the hell is step two?!" Tony ask
Iron Man flies away.
Hawkeye trips Chitauri soldiers and rams an arrow down its throat.
Black Widow gets her hands on an energy rifle and sticks to fight the hell out of them.
Sloan with his free hand uses the chitauri's shadow and slams it into a group of others. As they are disoriented, he grabs one of his grenades and he sets it off.
Metal is sent flying, but a shield blocks any of the shrapnel from hitting him. Sloan looks over and his brother sends him a look. "Do you have a death wish?" Steve asks
Sloan grins. "I'm practically immortal brother, don't worry." He teases, patting the soldiers chest.
Steve sighs and joins back in, using his shield, swaps, and whacks oncoming chitauri soldiers.
Sloan chuckles and he helps his brother. Both Rogers were formidable separately, but together they were close to unstoppable.
Suddenly lightning strikes down from the sky, channeling the blast, firing the electricity out at the chitauri soldiers around them. They're blasted back in a massive shockwave. The chitauri soldiers convulse and drop dead to the ground. Thor touches down.
"What's the story upstairs?" Steve asks "The powers surrounding the cube are impenetrable." Thor says "Thor is right. We gotta deal with these guys." Tony says
"How do we do this?" Natasha says "As a team." Steve says
"Corny but okay," Sloan replies, earning a glare and a smirk. One from Steve and the other from Nat.
"I have unfinished business with Loki." Thor says "Yeah, get in line." Clint says "Save it. Loki's gonna keep this fight focused on us and that's what we need. Without him, these things could run wild. We got Stark up top, he's gonna need us..." Steve says.
Just then, Banner arrives on a small motorbike. Getting off, he looks around the city.
"So, this all seems horrible." Banner says "I've seen worse." Natasha says "Sorry." Banner says "No. We could use a little worse." Natasha says
"Stark? We got him." Steve says "Banner?" Tony asks "Just like you said." Steve says "Then tell him to suit up. I'm bringing the party to you." Tony says
The Iron Man comes out from behind a building. The chitauri leviathan follows, impatiently.
The rest of the Avengers look up, getting ready and standing still. "I... I don't see how that's a party..." Natasha says
Iron Man swoops down the street.
The chitauri leviathan also swoops down, barreling down the street like a freight train that keeps building and building its intensity.
Banner looks behind. Cap looks at him. Banner begins to walk towards the monster. "Dr. Banner. Now might be a really good time for you to get angry." Steve says "That's my secret, Captain. I'm always angry." Banner says
Banner's body starts to swell stretch and harden. Green. Aaaannndddd.........SSSMMMAAASSSHHH!!!!
"Fuck that's hot," Sloan grumbles under his breath.
Hulk pops the chitauri leviathan in the nose. The creature flips over A 360.
Iron Man, in mid-flight, extends his arm out and a rocket, ready to shoot. Iron Man fires -- the rocket hits a soft spot large chitauri leviathans are blown completely away. Real pain from the Chitauri leviathan. Other pieces of meat catch fire and withdraw... Sizzle as they hit the pavement. Captain America raises his shield to block them. From above and on the buildings, the chitauri army watches in horror as a group of Earth's mightiest heroes find themselves united against a common threat. To fight the foes no single superhero could withstand! The Avengers assemble!
Loki watches below, motionless. "Send the rest," Loki says
From the portal, thousands more Chitauri soldiers and even more Chitauri leviathans fly out! The Avengers lookup. Way out of their fucking element.
"Guys," Sloan says, yeah what the hell is a gun going to do to that? "Call it, Cap." Tony says "Alright, listen up. Until we can close that portal up there, we're gonna use containment. Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything. Call out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything gets more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash." Steve says
"Wanna give me a lift?" Clint asks "Right. Better clench up, Legolas." Tony says
Iron Man lifts Hawkeye to the building. "Thor, you've gotta try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You've got the lightning. Light the bastards up." Steve orders, and Thor flies up. Steve turns to Sloan. "Sloan I need you to clear the buildings, get to the chitauri, and lead them here." Steve orders,
Sloan sighs, turning on his feet and running off, his gun now radiating dark energy.
Steve to Natasha. "You and me, we stay here on the ground, keep the fighting here."
"And Hulk." He earns a grunt in reply.
"Smash," Steve says
The Hulk smiles a most magnificent grin and leaps, soaring high up into the nearest building, The Hulk runs up the wall and hits several chitauri soldiers, snapping in half. He dives towards a building on the other side of the street, throwing the dead chitauri soldiers towards other soldiers.
The chitauri soldiers fire at him. The Hulk backhands them, seizes them, and with raw power, throws them down. In his most powerful leap yet, the Hulk flies up and is in the middle of a flying chariot traffic jam, to which he smacks them out of altitude.
