Walk like an angel (Walk like an angel)

。.✦ ☾

Sloan sat on his white leather couch, hand cradling a glass of whiskey, watching with an unsettled look as his brother recounted stories of their childhood to Seo.

"So Bucky and Sloan thought it would be funny...."

Sloan tuned the rest of the story out, he didn't need the reminder of the past.

Tony meets Sloans eye, cocking an eyebrow.

....

Sloan meets Tony down at the terrace, still cradling the same glass. "That kid of yours....definitely questioning if he's actually related to you, too nice to be from your gene pool." Tony jokes

Sloan hums, amused. "He gets that from his mom and Steve." Sloan muses, setting his glass down, leaning against the rails. "God remember when all we had to worry about back in 1993 was a bad fringe and now we have aliens, kids and super soldiers." Tony says

"I have no idea what you're talking about, I was rocking that look, it was all the rage." Sloan jokes, earning a genuine laugh from the billionaire.

"It was cute." Tony admits

Sloan offers him a small grin.

"It was definitely easier." Sloan admits

"I remember when you would book a whole theatre so we could watch Jurassic Park, you wanted to take my mind off this new deal the board was pushing, a deal I couldn't even remember, but I do remember how you couldn't pay attention to the movie for the life of you, or how you stole all the popcorn despite stating you hated the taste of it." Tony laughs as he recalls the fond memory.

Sloan hums, watching the side of Tony's head. "I couldn't pay attention because I was watching you." Sloan admits, his voice soft, almost quiet.

Tony turns to him, meeting his heavy gaze.

....

New York/1993

The sound of New Yorks street life filled the roads, cars honking their horns, people yelling over one another. Laughter echoed through the alley ways.

New York was alive.

Tony stood on the sidewalk besides a red phone booth, gloved hands deep in his wool coat. His cheeks were flushed from the cold, his breath coming out in smoke.

He watched as a couple giggled and laughed, walked close to one another, heads huddled together.

"How mundane." A deep voice breaths at his side, spooking the billionaire. "Jesus." Tony curses, meeting Sloans amused gaze.

The CEO hums, walking closer. "Come on the movies about to start." Sloan states, his gloved hand coming out to grab Tony's elbow.

....

Theatre/1993

Tony looked around, noting the lack of customers, barely even any staff. "Slow night?" Tony asked confused. New York was always bustling with life, he always assumed there were a minimum of 20 people in one place, especially at such a popular theatre.

"Bought the place out, I thought you might need some peace and quiet. I wouldn't want a fan ruining the experience." Sloan says

Tony was a little shocked to say the least, it really didn't help with his fat crush on the man. "Right." He mumbles, clearing his throat.

"Come on, let's get some snacks." Sloan states

Tony perks up at the promise of food.
