Warning: Racist assholes, swearing and violence.
Brooklyn/1940
Sloan walks through the streets of the city, humming to himself, searching for a certain building. Sloan grumbles to himself, looking down at the ad in his hands.
"Damn it." Sloan sighs, lowering the paper. Suddenly he hears a loud commotion coming from across the seat and he looks up, seeing three goons trashing a small flower shop.
"Go back to your cxxxtxy you Chinese bxxxh!" They hiss, kicking one of the potted plants, causing it to explode.
"I'm Korean asshole!" The owner yells, shoving the racist piece of shit away from her more valuable collection. Suddenly she's back handed for her rebuttal. "Hey!" Sloan yells, dropping the newspaper and rushing across the street.
One of the goons straightens up and he scoffs. "Hey man, back off, you don't want to be in the middle of this." He says
This time it was Sloan who scoffed, shoving him away from the shop keeper. "Fuck off." Sloan snaps, his hands were shaking in anger, struggling to hold back his shadow from attacking.
"Aww he's scared." Another one of his goons laughs, suddenly he's punched across the face. Sloan stands over the goon and he begins throwing punch after punch, rocking the goons face into the ground.
In the distance they head the start of a police siren, this startles the other two goons and they run off, leaving the unconscious man, Sloan and the shop keeper.
An officer exits his vehicle, blowing a whistle and rushing over.
"Officer! Wait! It's just a misunderstanding!" The shop keeper tries to defend, but Sloan is tackled to the ground.
Sloan groans as his face slams into the ground. "Fuck." Sloan hisses

Brooklyn Jail/1940
"Rogers your being bailed out."
Sloan looks up from the bench, standing and making his way towards the cell doors, avoiding the police's glare. "All this trouble for one of them." He spits
Sloan goes to attack the officer, when a hand stops him in his tracks. "Pal, let's go." Another office states
Sloan glares on his way out, waiting for the door to buzz open, revealing Bucky standing at the other side, looking disappointed, arms crossed.
"I expect this from Steve, but from you Sloan?" Bucky asks
Sloan slouches, sighing. "Can we just go home Buck?" Sloan asks, he really didn't need to get a scolding right now. Bucky sighs, placing a hand on Sloans arm.
He knew he couldn't be too hard on him. Sloan only ever entered fights unless he really needed to, one of the many things he loved about him.
"Well you have to tell me all about it, I heard you really did some damage." Bucky says, proudly. Sloan looks up at him with a small grin.
"Lady, your going to have to leave before I have one of my men escort you out!"
Sloan turns to see the shop keeper at the reception desk, face turning red in anger as she speaks with the lady behind the glass. "I have money! I just want to bail out the gentleman that defended me. It's my fault he's in there in the first place." She states angrily.
"Lady your money is no good here, run along and let your boyfriend serve his time." The woman states, her lips pulled up in a sneer. "It's American money! Please count it!" The shop keeper exclaims
"Secu-"
"Uh ma'am! It's okay, she's with me!" Sloan calls out, approaching from behind.
The receptionist eyes him before resuming her work.
The shop keeper whirls around and her eyes brightens. "You've been bailed out! Oh thank god!" She breaths, she quickly approaches him, clapping her hands together, thanking him. "My name is Nari, pleasure to meet you." Nari says, extending her hand out to Sloan.
Sloan slowly smiles, reaching out and gently shaking her hand. "Well Nari, I'm Sloan." Sloan introduces

A/N
Bucky is coming very soon, lots of smut, lots of violence!
I hope this chapter didn't trigger anyone. I tried censoring some of the words. I hate racism, even in books. But the 1940s was a very racist period of time.
