Taking glances when I could without having the eagle like of a brother notice that I was looking at her, I take in her appearance for the night.

From what I could gather with the exception of outside gatherings that did not compromise of her inner circle, she wore kimonos just like her mother. I'd never took interest in women wearing traditional clothing, and preferred women wearing dresses like tonight. Traditional clothing, seemed a little too modest and a little too uncomfortable with so many layers upon more layers.

And yet on her, it was a sight to take.

The layers of fabric that were often light in color, managed to accentuate and brighten her soft features. And I'd never thought I'd say this, but modesty suited her. She looked as though she found comfort in it. Like it was some kind of her own armour, whether that was just in her daily kimonos or her training ones.

Looking at her tonight, I was fully convinced that kimonos definitely suited her better than the dress she was wearing tonight.

Don't get me wrong, she was nothing short of elegance personified, with her tight black dress that moulded her soft curves in ways that should probably be prohibited and had thin straps that interweaved itself on her backside giving a backless illusion that had my hands twitching to glide it over.

But she looked uncomfortable.

Every so often, she would glide her hands up her arms as if to wrap herself into protection but think better of it and drop her hand back down, resting it like the sophisticated lady she was. She did it like she was scared that someone would come over and harass her. She didn't need to worry; her brother was quite literally pealed to her side.

As much as I'd like to walk over to her, I didn't need a bloodbath. At least not tonight. Knowing their sibling relationship, if I even entertain the thought threatening her brother's life, she would probably end my own life. But I must say, if my life was ended by her, I wasn't complaining. It would be a better outcome than many other high chance scenarios.

Knowing my chances to get closer to her was close to that of none, I put on the fake pleasant mask and entertained the useless airheads and their wives on some topic about their hobbies and their children. The only reason I give time to these beings was for their loyalty and their hand. The hand they will raise when the time comes to vote for the next leader.

But my bored mind comes to an unexpected halt when that eagle like brother leaves her side, making his way to other end of the hall.

Interesting.

Making note that there was something worthy of information at the back of my mind, I return my attention back to the little princess and was once again disappointed seeing that not only was she preoccupied with people, but she was busy entertaining Taylor and his wife.

Suppressing a groan and annoyingly returning my attention to the crowd surrounding me, I pretend to engage, spewing some polite remark here and false thanking there, before taking another glance towards where she was.

She wasn't there.

Forgetting that I had company around me, I look around the hall not so discreetly to where she may have gone to. But it doesn't take long to find where she was heading.

Excusing myself from those surrounding me, I cross over to where she had disappeared to.

This hall couldn't be described without the words uselessly large. I had come over here time and time again since being initiated and had learnt all kinds of small areas that were otherwise unknown to the world.
