Holy moly, we are almost finished with this story!!! 😲🙀Thank you so much to those who consistently read this story and find it interesting, it truly means a lot to have someone who reads and appreaciates my work.

There aren't many chapters left but I have definitely come to love Minori and Nikolai. Their dynamic is so bold and to be honest, Minori's personality is something I want to posess.

I promise a little more action will happen in the next few chapters so stay tuned!😘💝

But without a further ado, enjoy your reading time. 🍀🦋

"They're gonna freak out" A rough voice snickers.

"Her brother? Definitely. The Russian? We might have been wrong. Either way, we'll be able to finish what we started."

What the hell? Where was I?

I pry my eyes open trying to grasp where I was and how I got here.

Oh, that's right. I was knocked out.

From the sounds of it, the two guys were somewhere in close proximity, so moving around without precaution was a stupid move. But the mere thought of moving was impossible anyway. At least for the time being. Not only was the headache that was dulled from being passed out now coming back with full force, my right arm was shackled onto the wall above my head while my legs were also shackled together.

And I had some kind wire on me. Several wires. And something on my left index finger. An oximeter?

Cardiac monitor. They attached me to a cardiac monitor. But why the hell would they want to monitor my vitals?

The room I was in was definitely some sort of warehouse. Boxes were scattered around everywhere; crates littered the floor while bits and pieces of random things roughly decorated the whole area. That only made my situation worse. These abandoned places were more commonly than not, were located in desolate places. Even if there were an opportunity that I could free myself from these metal chains and was able to run away, it will only take them a couple of minutes for them to reach me in such places.

What was I going to do?

"Little crane, good morning." The second voice murmurs, his breath smelling of cigarettes and cheap alcohol fanning my face. He was of large build, tall and broad but if we had a fair fight, I was confident that I could win. It was unfortunate I was still disorientated and quite literally tied to the wall.

"She woke up?" The first voice calls out, walking over. He was smaller, leaner. No obvious muscle mass. He was probably the brain out of the duo, though I was sure there were more of them outside this room. He crouches down meeting me eye to eye.

"Who the hell are you?" I manage to croak out. However, by the sounds of my voice, I should've said nothing at all. I sounded so weak. So pathetic.

"I'm upset. I had thought you would remember us. Well, I guess being in the background and all, your young brain wouldn't remember." The bigger guys draws out, putting up a mocking pretence.

"I don't. Know. You."

"Doesn't matter if you do or don't." The smaller one comments as he gets up and walk away over to a table. Frantically clicking away on the laptop that was perched on the table.

"Let the show begin." The larger one mutters as something starts beeping in the background. I tried to focus what it was, but my brain and senses were failing me.
