------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have most definitely, and thoroughly, enjoyed the meeting I have attended. There was so many numbers thrown about and discussions about the not so poor lives which will end within a matter of days. That's what you get for betrayal of any kind no matter how small or landing on the wrong side.

Some people, namely this guy called Konstantin looked over to me as if I would have some adverse reaction to the words death and torture. I'm glad to prove to him and anyone else like him that other people's death don't affect me. At least people who are irrelevant to my life that is.

Regardless he will look over time to time as if he itched to see me shaken up at some point in the meeting. He stooped so low to even talk about their torture sessions in great deal. If he expected to get a girl crying and throwing up, he wasn't going to get her. Although the times were rare, meaning I can count on my fingers, I have done torture sessions myself. My father wasn't exactly favourable of the idea, but he also decided he wasn't going to raise weak children.

Naturally I have become quite curious into human physiology and may or may not have researched about ways to forcefully revive one just so they can endure another round of punishments, but the detail Konstantin described that I was actually entertained by was forcefully shut off by pretty much every member in attendance. Mainly by Nikolai himself and his righthand man Andrei.

Bummer I know.

From what I can gather, I have maybe three people besides Nikolai who seemed to be favourable of me. Not that they genuinely like me of course, because that's for meaningful relationships and I doubt that would ever be the case but rather a polite relationship with respect for one another.

These people were Ksenia Ivanova, Natalya Petrova, and Alexei Kozlov.

The two women are understandable. As misogynistic as our organizations are, like Maria said, we don't live in the 19th century and intelligence is intelligence. If its left for use, then it sure will be used. These two women are without a doubt intelligent and are a ball of fire. They do not back down until they get their point across. I like them already.

Alexei on the other hand, I have no idea why he was favouring my presence into the brotherhood but more people the better, so I wasn't complaining.

The meeting ends and slowly the higher members of the Bratva leaves the room one by one. I too attempt to stand up and leave when strong arms wrapped around my middle prevents me from doing so.

"Stay."

I turn around, sitting back down and swing both my legs around onto his right side so I'm comfortable and can see him without breaking my back.

"I wasn't going to leave you. I just wanted us to go back to where we were. Maria said she'll make pancakes."

"You like pancakes?"

"I have a sweet tooth." I admit without embarrassment. I love my sweets thank you very much.

"What sweets do you like?"

"Tiramisu, pretty much any cake and ice cream. Mint choc or matcha are my favourite flavours though." I say as I picture the sweets in my head. Even thinking about them makes me content.

"You're a future case for diabetes." He shakes his head.

"You sound like my brother." I mutter.

"Hmm, at least we agree on a few things."
