New Chapter!!!
Warning: this chapter contains violence and torture methods. Please read what is most comfortable for you.
Just a little heads up, this chapter is on the longer side in terms of word count so I do recommend reading when you have. Little more time on your hands💝💝💝
But otherwise, enjoy your reading time. 🦜🪽
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Human touch wasn't something I particularly enjoyed like most normal people do.
Perhaps it was because I hadn't been raised in an environment where hugs and holding hands were a normal thing but regardless, outside of the necessary handshake here and polite side hug there, I avoided human touch as much as possible.
It felt wrong.
However it seems there is always an exception to what you normally do.
She was my exception.
Her cradled in my arms felt right. Her on my back felt right. Her touch on me just felt right.
So the sense of loss when she was taken away by her brother felt wrong. Like I was missing a part of me. Sounds ridiculous when she only just started trusting me. I couldn't even be sure what she wanted to make out of whatever it was that we shared.
All I knew was I wanted her. I needed her.
But she was a Yakuza princess. The Yakuza was purely Japanese. I was Pakhan and the Bratva was purely Russian.
Purity in race in the scientific sense is just plain ridiculous but in our world it was a sign of family. Sign of loyalty and togetherness.
Neither of our family's were like the Taylor's who were originally pure Italians that moved along with time to accept those who were worthy of position.
This was going to be another issue I'll have to solve.
"We are still waiting for an explanation." Kaito, Sakurazuki's right-hand man speaks up while their men stand behind him. They weren't going to leave without it.
"He said he'll explain on another day." Andrei retorts from behind me but I wave him off. If I were in their position I too would demand an explanation.
"The MeX. Their bodies are scattered about in this place. I'd advise you to not bring your princess over here for the mean time. Especially if you're into superstitious ideologies."
I expected them to make some kind of reaction.
But surprisingly, none of them gave a reaction. None.
"How and why did she drown?" He interrogates instead. Maybe it wasn't that didn't care about the MeX, maybe it was just their whole attention is on the princess.
"Found her on the way, ran away together and came to a waterfall stop. Jumped and lead to drowning."
"I hope you're ready for the consequences. Oyabun and Ryo won't go easy on an event like this." He stares me down communicating the threat with not only words but also eye contact.
"What I'd be concerned about if I were you is your head. Shouldn't you have been protecting her?"
His jaw clenches slightly. Nothing too obvious. Do all people in this organization take some class to mask their real reactions?
"I will receive the punishment they order without complaint. We expect you to do the same."
"That is where you are wrong. I will do as I please. But it seems I must reiterate. I saved her life. I brought her back here. Not you. I could have used her as a way to get everything I pleased from your organization, but I chose not to. If I were you, I would just thank for the fact that she was brought back safe and sound and leave it with that."
