After one of the demons disappeared, the brother demon called out his sister's name.
Gyutaro: Ume!
After a moment, the demon disappeared.
Tanjiro: Did they make up?
Rimuru: I sure hope so. even though they're demons, those two still care about each other
Nezuko: Hmph!
Nezuko nodded as if she is saying that she's sure they made up.
As we looked to the sky to watch the stars, my body suddenly felt heavy and my vison started to blur.
Rimuru: (it seems like the adrenaline in my body has worn out...)
My vision went black as i lost consciousness.
TENGEN POV
After the three had left, I was suddenly confronted by the serpent hashira, Obanai Iguro, along with many kakushi.
Obanai: What happened here?
Tengen: What do you think? I had to fight upper moon six with some middle ranked slayers
Obanai: Hmm? I see. Really now? Upper six, eh? Unfortunately that would be the lowest of the upper ranks...
The tone of Iguro's somehow makes his words sound like an insult.
Obanai: Well, six or not, you still defeated an upper rank, so I believe congratulations are in order. Though it was six... I guess you've earned some praise
Tengen: I don't know if that was a compliment or not, but thanks
I felt irritated by Iguro's choice of words, but I'm too tired to argue, though it seems Suma, Makio, and Hinatsuru felt just as irritated.
Suma: *frustrated* What he said!
Makio: *irritated* You took your sweet time getting here
Suma: Y-Y-Yeah, you showed up after all the fighting! How convenient!
Iguro's snake hissed at Suma, scaring her into clinging on me and causing some pain.
Suma: KYAAAAAAAHHHH!! Scary!
Obanai: What exactly do you plan on doing now that you've lost your left hand, and how long will it take you to return to duty after this? You'll need a replacement in the meantime. Any ideas of who can fill in for you until then?
Tengen: im actually retiring. There's just no way I can still fight... I'm sure the master will understand that much
Obanai: Don't be ridiculous. I don't allow it. Too many swordsmen have fallen for you to consider retiring... we still haven't filled the hashira spot that Rengoku left behind. Even being in your present condition is better than nothing at all. You'll fight until you perish
Tengen: Nah.. I know two young swordsmen to replace me and Rengoku. Do you remember those new recruits that you love to hate?
Obanai was stunned for a moment by my question before responding.
Obanai: What!? You're joking. You mean they survived?! A battle like this? Tanjiro Kamado and Rimuru Arashi survived?
Tengen: That's right....
I got up with the help of my wives and began leaving the area.
Tengen: ...if you have nothing dull left to say, we'll be on our way
