Heir Pt 2: San x Mingi (Ateez)

Summary: It's been a year since Mingi began living with San and their daughter, Aera. Take a sneak peek at their new lives.

It's been a year since San found Mingi and their daughter, Aera, in the woods. Ever since that day, San rarely left them out of their sight.

San was afraid Mingi would run off again, leaving San all alone and hopeless. Ever since San found them, he cannot picture a life without them in it. He was protective, obsessed, and completely in love with his small family.

They just celebrated their little girls second birthday, and San was over the moon. He probably enjoyed the birthday party more than their little princess.

Hell, he probably cried more on her birthday than Aera has in her entire life.

Mingi on the other hand was feeling anxious. Him and San have gotten close, and Mingi cannot deny his feelings.

His heart races every time he see's San, his legs turn to mush, and his cheeks flush to a light shade of pink. Also, it doesn't help when Mingi thinks of the nights they been spending together.

They were like magnets. The two could not keep their hands off of each other. Each moment they got they would be tangled under the sheet in Sans bedroom.

Which lead to Mingi becoming pregnant once again.

Reaching the 4 month mark of pregnancy, Mingi was becoming anxious. Afraid. Afraid San would react the same way he did last time. Afraid he would corner Mingi, threatening to kill him if the baby was a girl.

He couldn't eat, drink, sleep, as his mind was constantly spinning. San obviously knew something was wrong as the day of the gender reveal, Mingi couldn't even look at him. Each time San tried to approach him, he would dodge his touch, or tell him Aera needed him.

It wasn't until San cornered him in the bathroom, where Mingi froze, unable to escape as San came close to him.

"What's wrong?" San cooed, his hand going to caress Mingi's cheek, yet Mingi dodged his touch.

"Just morning sickness" Mingi whispered, an obvious lie that San caught on to quickly.

"Don't lie to me Mingi" San whispered, his voice going deep as he took a few more steps towards Mingi.

Mingi felt fear overtake him as San could smell it, his ears twitching as Mingi began to speak.

"Please don't kill me" he choked out, tears streaming down his cheeks as San's eyes shot open in surprise.

"Please don't kill me if the baby's a girl...I-I don't wanna die" Mingi trembled as he tried pushing San away from him, not wanting him near him at all, as Mingi hated being vulnerable in front of others.

"Who said anything about me killing you" San spat, his voice harsher than he intended, but he was so shocked by what he heard.

"Y-You did. You said it last time" Mingi told him, shoving San away from him as he wiped his tears.

"You said you would kill me if the baby was a girl. You said that when I pregnant with Aera!" Mingi yelled at him, his fear overtaking him as he began to raise his voice, alerting the guards as they came in to see what's wrong.

But San could care less about the guards. All he cared about was Mingi.

"Mingi" San whispered as he reached out for him, his hand gently resting on his cheek as Mingi trembled in his hold.

"That was in the past" San told him softly, his voice smooth like honey as he gently pulled Mingi into his embrace, releasing his pheromones to calm down his mate.

"I'm not like that anymore. I would never in a million years think about hurting you. Just the thought of you being away from me makes me wanna die" San told him, his hands now cupping his cheeks as he leaned his forehead against his.

"I-I'm sorry" Mingi choked out over his sobs, guilt suddenly swarming him as he nuzzled into San's chest.

"Don't be sorry. I should've never said what I did back then. But I want you to know, Aera is the best gift I ever received. I don't care what the gender is of this baby. I just want you and our baby to be healthy. That's all I care about" San reassured him, as he watched Mingi smile up at him.

"Me too."

5 Months Later:

Loud cries filled the room as the nurse placed the small baby on Mingi's chest as San suddenly was frozen. Frozen by what just took place. He just witnessed his mate give birth, and didn't know whether to be traumatized or amazed.

"Here she is" the nurse explained as San looked down at their new little girl, another little princess he would cherish for the rest of his life.

"Oh my god" San cried as he bent down, looking at the little girl as tears streamed down his face.

She looked a bit more like Mingi, features and all, but this princess, was a little wolf hybrid like San.

Mingi closed his eyes from exhaustion as he held the little girl close, his heart full and warm from love.

"Oh Mingi" San choked out as he kissed his temple, his finger grazing over their little girls cheek as her cries began to die down.

"She's so beautiful. Aera is gonna love her" he told him as Mingi opened his eyes, examining his baby girl as she opened her mouth, hunger finally taking over as the nurse helped guide Mingi into feeding her.

"Hana" Mingi whispered as San looked at him, his hand still caressing Mingi's hair.

"What?" San asked him as Mingi laughed at him, still shocked to see San so distraught.

"Hana. I wanna name her Hana" Mingi told him as San nodded, smiling as he placed a soft kiss to Mingi's lips.

"We can name her whatever you want."

"Cut the cord dad" the nurse smiled as she handed San the scissors, which he took with shaky hands as the nurse guided him on where to cut; San just crying more and more at this moment, but also remembering how he missed this moment for Aera.

Suddenly, the doors opened as a guard was standing their, holding Aera as Aera immediately noticed San.

"Dada" she spoke gently as Mingi smiled at her, watching as San went and took her from the guard, slowly bringing her to Mingi.

"Aera" San started as he sat down with her on the bed, pointing at Hana as she slept on Mingi's bare chest.

"This is your baby sister, Hana" San told her, watching as Mingi reached out to caress Aera's cheek.

"Baby?" Aera asked, as she stared at Hana, her eyes wide and filled with curiosity.

"Yes, a baby. Baby is sleeping so we have to be quiet okay?" San whispered to her as Aera continued staring at Hana in excitement.

"Mama" Aera whispered as Mingi looked at her, his eyes filled with love as he brushed Aera's hair with his fingers.

"Mama is okay baby" Mingi told her as Aera nodded, her head resting on San's chest as she began to feel sleepy.

Standing up, San pressed another kiss to Mingi's head, "I'll be right back. I love you" he whispered as Mingi nodded, saying 'I love you too' before watching San walk to the guard.

San took the guard into the hallway as he began to speak to him, saying...

"Alert the palace and the nation that a new princess is born. Choi Hana."
