Kai walked the city streets as snow fell down on him, his nose red and his cheeks flushed from the cold winds.

His black jacket was wrapped tightly around him and his ear muffs did his best to keep him warm.

Kai was only walking in the park in hopes of seeing someone. Someone who he didn't even know.

A beautiful golden retriever hybrid always walked this path in the park around this time of day, and Kai always did his best to try and take a glimpse at him.

Even though the glimpses were never long, it was enough to leave Kai satisfied.

Walking with his head down as the wind blew harshly, Kai didn't notice the person in front of him, who was also walking with their head down.

Feeling something collide against his chest, he expected himself to stumble back, yet he was caught off guard by the feeling of someone's arm wrap around his waist.

Looking up, Kai immediately noticed the golden retriever hybrid as his cheeks flushed immediately, his heart beginning to race.

"I'm so sorry" Kai spoke in a hurry, his eyes looking anywhere but at the hybrids as the other man was also visibly flustered.

Kai could've sworn he felt tingles surge through him, his whole body feeling warm, yet in an instant, those feeling were gone as the hybrid let go of him.

"Are you alright?" The hybrid asked as Kai nodded, apologizing once again with a small thank you towards the end.

Silence slowly followed after as Kai went to speak, only for the other hybrid to speak as well.

"I'm Kai."
"I'm Soobin."

They both said at the same time, slowly giggling after as Soobin could not stop staring at Kai, the younger ones beauty enchanting him.

Soobin couldn't lie. He's been hoping for this moment to happen for months. He's only been coming to this park at this time hoping to see Kai. And everytime, he was there.

Kai suddenly couldn't speak as he was drawn in by Soobin's scent, his nose twitching as his tail was wagging softly.

Soobin smelled softly of vanilla as Soobin watched him, also taking in Kai's scent, who smelled faintly of mint.

"Do you want to get coffee with me?" Kai asked him, watching as Soobin's eyes lit up, his tail immediately wagging as a huge smile was plastered on his face.

"I would love to" Soobin told him, taking Kai's hand as he dragged them both down the path, towards a small coffee shop.

After that first date, they have been on many, countless dates with one another.

Kai soon began to always sleep over at Soobin's place as weeks of dating began to turn into months of dating.

Both of them were in love, even if it hasn't been long they couldn't deny how strong their feelings were from one another. And each day the feelings would only grow and grow.

Fights were rare, but they would occasionally bicker. Kai would get upset as Soobin would always pull the age card, saying he was older and knew what was right.

However, the second Soobin would notice Kai was upset, Soobin would fold and immediately cave in, feeling guilty for making his lover upset.

And it wasn't until they made love for the first time, where Kai truly felt vulnerable.

Soobin was on top, kissing him passionately as he slipped off both of their sweats, leaving them bare to the cold air in the bedroom.

Kai pulled away from the kiss as his cheeks were bright red, feeling so small and fragile under Soobin's frame.

"A-Am I the bottom?" Kai asked as he watched Soobin grab a condom from the night stand.

"I thought that was pretty obvious" Soobin whispered, causing Kai to cower from the embarrassment he felt, but that all went away in a span of seconds.

Kai has never felt so loved in his life. Even though it was painful at first, he never felt so loved; and he never wanted this moment to end.

Yet it had to come to an end like all things do.

But it doesn't mean Kai was unhappy.

Everyday Soobin made Kai feel so loved, and Kai felt extremely lucky to have someone like Soobin. And Soobin felt incredibly lucky to have someone like Kai.

It wasn't until a year later that the two found out their family was gonna grow, and neither of them knew what to do.

Soobin could recall the exact moment Kai told him he thought he was pregnant. Soobin could remember the way they both hurried to a nearby pharmacy, buying the test as Soobin's hands shook as he handed the worker his card.

He could remember how they were too anxious to take it at home, resulting in them taking it in a public restroom. And Soobin could remember when the five minutes were up, and the way Kai flipped over the test, revealing two faint lines.

And he could remember the exact way Kai looked at him. His eyes wide with fear, but yet excitement and love. Soobin remembered how Kai held the test in his hands, his hands trembling yet his mouth was curved into a small smile.

And Kai could recall how Soobin embraced him. One hand on the back of his head, holding him close and the other rubbing small circles on his back to ease him.

"It's gonna be okay" Soobin whispered.

They were afraid, yet they had each other, and they knew they could take on anything as long as they had one another.

It wasn't until they saw their little bean on the ultra sound picture, listening to the faint heartbeat of their baby; that's when they knew they were no longer afraid.

And sure enough, after nine months, Kai gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, who looked almost identical to Soobin, none of Kai's traits resembling her at all.

Their daughter, Aerim, was their pride and joy, and Soobin never knew he could love Kai more than he already did until he gave them Aerim.

The second Soobin saw Aerim get placed on Kai's chest, he could've sworn he was crying more than Aerim. And it didn't help at all that Soobin was the protective dad.

He didn't want Aerim playing with any little boys, and even though she was now only a year old, everytime Soobin pictured Aerim getting married, he would break down and cry.

Now playing in the park three years later, the same park Kai met Soobin, they watched their little girl play in the grass. <3
