Sunoo sat at his desk in class as he looked towards the back at his boyfriend, Sunghoon. They have known one another for 3 years, but only been dating for 5 months. Yet, it felt like they only remained friends all this time. Yes, they had their fair share of small kisses and hand holding, but that was rare.

Looking back down at his hands, Sunoo took a deep breath as he heard the girls in his class talk to his boyfriend about what he was doing after school. People knew they were dating, but that didn't stop them from being flirtatious to his boyfriend.

Looking at the clock, Sunoo noticed school was about to end. Standing up from his desk, he made his way to the back of his class towards his boyfriend. Sunghoon looked up at him as the girls took a few steps back.

"Do you wanna walk home with me?" Sunoo whispered softly as Sunghoon's face remained expressionless as always.

"No" he spoke coldly, "I'm walking home with Hana" he said while not bothering to even look up at Sunoo. Sunoo didn't think much of it as Hana was a very good friend of Sunghoon, even before they started dating, but he still couldn't help but feel a bit of pain and jealousy in his chest.

Sunoo nodded his head yes as he muttered a small "Oh, I'm sorry" before he went back to his desk.

He could hear the other girls laughing softly at Sunoo being rejected while the other guys just gossiped. Hearing the school bell ring, indicating school was over, Sunoo didn't even hesitate to grab his things quickly before he left.

Walking past Sunghoon, not bothering to bid him a goodbye, Sunghoon couldn't help but feel his heart ache at that action. But deep down, he knew he deserved that treatment.

Walking home with tears in his eyes, Sunoo knew what he needed to do. Something he should've done months ago.

Finally making his way home, Sunoo walked to his room and sat on his bed. Attempting to call Sunghoon to meet up in person, it went straight to voicemail. Sunoo had to go with plan b.

He really didn't wanna do plan b. But at the same time, he knew he would never be strong enough to do it in person. And having the courage now, he just had to do it.

Tears streaming down his face, with shaking hands he sent the text.

"I think we should just remain friends."

Putting his phone on silent, he chucked his phone to the side as he laid down on his bed, crying silently into his blanket. It hurt deeply, but he knew it had to be done. Sunoo wished he didn't do it over text, but at the same time he knew he would never gain the courage to tell Sunghoon that face to face.

Walking home with Hana, Sunghoon felt his phone vibrate. Usually, he never checks his phone while he's accompanied by someone else, but something was telling him to check.

Apologizing softly, he pulled out his phone from his pocket noticing a missed call and a message from Sunoo. Opening his phone, his heart stopped as he read the text. His mouth ran dry as chills took control of his body. A lump formed in his throat as his chest suddenly felt so heavy. Trying to call Sunoo's number multiple times, only for it to go straight to voicemail, that's when Sunghoon knew Sunoo was dead serious.

"I-I need to go" Sunghoon spoke quickly, not sparing a glance or another second with Hana as he took off towards the direction of Sunoo's house.

At first Sunghoon was walking quickly, but after a minute, he was running as fast as his legs could take him. All that was on his mind was seeing Sunoo to fix what he broke; their relationship.

Gasping for air, Sunghoon made it to Sunoo's house before knocking on the front door with all his strength. The door opened revealing Sunoo's mother, as her eyes widened in surprise.

"Oh Sunghoon" she spoke softly, "What a surprise."

Usually Sunoo would go over to his house, not the other way around. So coming over to Sunoo's house was definitely a huge surprise to Sunoo's mother.

"May I please see Sunoo?" He asked softly.

Sunoo's mom nodded her head yes as she could see something was the matter between the two; as the second Sunoo came home, he locked himself in his bedroom.

Sunghoon rushed up the stairs before making his way to Sunoo's room. Taking a deep breath, he knocked softly on Sunoo's door as he heard some shuffling behind the door.

"Coming mom" he heard his soft voice speak, before the door opened.

Sunoo froze as he stared up at Sunghoon, definitely not expecting to see him at this moment.

"Sunghoon what are you doing here?" Sunoo asked him quietly, while looking down at the floor, afraid to show Sunghoon his red, puffy eyes.

Sunghoon has never felt like this before over anyone. He was scared, so scared of losing the first person he ever loved.

"Is this what love feels like?" Sunghoon thought, if so he didn't like, but at the same time he didn't wanna lose it. Because if he lost it, he would lose Sunoo with it.

Doing the only thing he could think of at that moment, Sunghoon cupped Sunoo's cheeks with his hands before placing his lips on his.

Pulling away to stare at Sunoo's flushed face, as tears were still in his eyes, Sunoo sniffled softly before whispering "A-Answer my question Sunghoon."

Sunghoon gulped as his whole body felt shaky, still cupping Sunoo's face, he took a deep breath.

"I'm here because..." Sunghoon started, not quite knowing how to phrase what he wanted to say.

He wanted to express how he felt, but he wasn't quite sure how.

"I'm here because I don't want this to be the end of us" Sunghoon whispered, "I-I know I'm not the ideal type, but you're mine."

"A-and I'm here..." Sunghoon took another deep breath as he was sweating profusely, "I'm here because..." he gulped while closing his eyes, as he never told anyone this while being in a relationship.

"I'm here because I love you."

Sunoo was speechless, absolutely speechless. He always assumed it would be him to say those three words first, never Sunghoon.

But Sunoo wasn't disappointed about it, as he was always afraid to say it first. Afraid that Sunghoon wouldn't feel the same way or that Sunghoon wouldn't say it back. But now, now Sunoo knew that Sunghoon felt the same.

"I love you too" Sunoo whispered, his hand going up to caress Sunghoon's cheek.

"You scared me so bad" Sunghoon whispered as he was still a bit out of breath from everything that just took place.

"I-I've never felt fear like that."

"I'm sorry Sunghoon" Sunoo whispered, sincere laced deep in his apology.

"No. Don't be sorry, you made me realize what I could've lost, which is you" Sunghoon spoke.

"I should be the one who's sorry, I've never been good to you" Sunghoon whispered softly, his eyes slowly becoming glossed over with tears.

Sunoo rubbed his thumb soothingly on his cheek "That's not true. A good man wouldn't be here right now like you are."

Sunghoon leaned into Sunoo's touch while smiling softly, whispering a small "thank you" before pulling Sunoo into his embrace.

Little did they know, Sunoo's mother was at the bottom of the stairs, smiling softly at the two love birds.
