First Words: Felix x Hyunjin (SKZ)

Summary: Their one year old son, Taewoo, said his first word when Hyunjin came home from work.

Felix was in the kitchen, making kimchi stew for dinner as the winter days were finally approaching. Snow was littering the streets outside as he looked out the window, smiling to himself as he thought of Taewoo getting to play in the snow.

Taewoo just turned one, being born on December 5th, last Christmas he was not able to enjoy the snow as he was only a newborn. But this Christmas Felix was ecstatic to see Taewoo play in the snow.

Taewoo was a small copy and paste of Hyunjin, looking almost identical to his father. All he inherited from Felix was his button nose, and hopefully good baking skills.

Taewoo played in the middle of the kitchen floor as he was playing with the tubber-ware. Something Felix let him do to distract him and keep a close eye on him while he cooked dinner for his mate; who was at the studio working while Felix was still taking off to watch their son.

Felix was however a bit worried for his little boy. Taewoo was crawling and walking just fine, but he has still yet to have said his first word.

Hyunjin always assured him to not worry, as Taewoo is a very healthy baby, but Felix couldn't help but tend to overthink. As being a first time mother, Felix was afraid of the unknown.

His thoughts were cut off as he heard the front door open, the smell of his mates pheromones hitting his nose, setting him at ease.

Taewoo, knowing his dad was now home, stood up as he begin waddling to his dad. Hyunjin set down his bag as Felix went to join them, watching their little one waddle to his dad.

Taewoo has his arms up, making grabby hands as he waddled to Hyunjin. But what caught him off guard was what he said.

"Appa" Taewoo babbled as Hyunjin froze in place, but Felix was squealing as he clapped, praising Taewoo for speaking as Hyunjin was tearing up.

Picking up Taewoo, Hyunjin held him close as he kissed his baby boy, smiling brightly as his vision was clouded with tears.

"That's right buddy" Hyunjin cooed as he made his way to Felix, hugging him gently, "I'm your appa."

After that Taewoo began to babble, saying gibberish as he played with Hyunjin's wedding band, yet Hyunjin and Felix couldn't be happier.

"I knew you were a dada's boy hmm?" Hyunjin cooed, placing a soft kiss to Felix's lips as Taewoo could only babble.

"See?" Hyunjin spoke softly, rubbing his hand softly up and down Felix's back, "I told you he would start talking soon."

Felix nodded as he laughed softly, gently smacking Hyunjin on the chest as Hyunjin laughed, "Don't tease me. It's normal for a mother to worry about their children."

"I'm just joking" Hyunjin cooed as he placed a soft kiss to Felix's mating mark, which was placed just behind his right ear.

"Go change then we can have dinner" Felix told him as Hyunjin nodded, watching as Felix gently took Taewoo so he could go change.

As Hyunjin was walking away, before he could make it out of the kitchen, he heard it once again.

"Appa" Taewoo babbled as he reached out, trying to reach for his father as Hyunjin whipped around, taking him back immediately as he cried happy tears.

"Appa is here buddy" Hyunjin cooed as Felix praised Taewoo once again, texting everyone he knew about Taewoo's first word.

His first word being 'Appa'.
