Kiss Me In The Rain: Mingyu x Dino (Seventeen)

Summary: Mingyu chases after Dino in the rain to confess his feelings once and for all.

The night was dark and chilly as Dino walked back to his dorm, tears streaking down his cheeks as he was filled with anger and hurt.

Mingyu, his group partner, and also the man he is in love with, just denied his feelings for him; even after numerous things they have done with another.

Dino has never felt so pathetic.

All those times they hugged, held hands, made eye contact, stole small glances and touches, seemed to only mean something to Dino.

Dino didn't quite get why he got so upset with Mingyu when he saw him with another man. It's not like him and Mingyu are dating or anything. Mingyu is not his to claim.

He guessed it was because Dino assumed Mingyu liked him too.

Dino wished Mingyu wasn't so nice to him all these times. Dino wished Mingyu never called him pretty or gave him his hoodie when he was cold. Dino wished Mingyu never called him to "work on the project", when in reality Mingyu just wanted to talk to him.

And lastly, Dino wished Mingyu never led him on.

Dino was mad at the fact that Mingyu seemed almost disgusted by the fact that Dino confessed to him. Dino wondered why Mingyu reacted the way he did.

It made Dino feel worthless and disgusting.

"Wait...you like me. You?"

Dino recalls the way Mingyu's voice went so deep and quiet, venom almost laced in his tone as Dino sat in complete silence.

Dino did not expect that type of reaction from Mingyu at all. Dino assumed Mingyu would also confess his love, but it was only one sided.

Then why would Mingyu get jealous each time Dino mentioned another guys name? Why would Mingyu cover up Dino's body when he wore shorts or a crop top? Why did Mingyu invite Dino over every night to work on the project even after the project was done? Why did he give Dino an extra set of keys to his house?

Nothing made sense to Dino. Dino thought all those actions were signs.

Signs of Mingyu liking him back.

And what Mingyu said next only made Dino's heart hurt even more.

"I think you should leave."

And that's what Dino did. Grabbing his bag he left without another word. He couldn't even bring himself to apologize or to even say goodbye.

Dino didn't care if the rain was pouring on him. He didn't care that his hair and clothes were soaked. He didn't care that his nose was red and his lips were turning blue.

He only cared about what Mingyu was thinking.

Was he mad at him? Is he upset that he could have ruined their friendship?

Snapped out of his thoughts, Dino heard someone call out for him and the sound of footsteps running towards his direction.

Turning around, Mingyu was running towards him as Dino froze in place, watching at Mingyu finally caught up to him, before standing directly in front of him.

Mingyu, out of breath, placed his hands on Dino's shoulders as rain poured down on both of them; only a street light lighting up the two of them.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry" Mingyu told him as Dino could only shake his head as he looked down at his shoes, more tears clouding his vision.

"You don't have to apologize Mingyu I..." Dino goes to say, only to be cut off.

"I like you too Dino" Mingyu started as Dino's eyes widened, looking up at Mingyu as he couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"I like you so much that it hurts. I'm sorry I told you to leave earlier. I just couldn't process the fact that someone so beautiful like you could like someone like me."

Dino's body trembled from the cold and from his choked sobs as his hands went to Mingyu's face, cupping his cheeks as Mingyu looked down at him.

"Do you mean it?" Dino choked out as Mingyu nodded his head yes over and over again.

"I meant every word" Mingyu whispered as he brought his lips down towards Dino's.

Passionately kissing him in the rain.
