Changbin's POV:
Walking towards our house I could hear the loud cries of Woobin as I sighed under my breath, annoyed that Felix didn't keep him quiet.
I have a fear that humans would hear Woobin whenever he would cry and would come and find our small house, harming both my mate and our son.
Opening the door, I saw Felix holding Woobin close as he cried loudly. Making my way towards them, I gently took Woobin as his cries immediately died down, mumbling a small 'dada' as his teary eyes looked up at me.
Felix was looking down at the ground as he gulped, knowing I was about to scold him; as he wasn't able to keep Woobin quiet.
"Are you kidding me Felix?" I spat, his eyes looking anywhere but at me.
"He fell" he whispered, fiddling with his fingers as Woobin's sniffles filled the room.
"That's why you hold him or stay close to him" I scolded him, my eyes going dark as I moved closer to him.
"What would've happened if I wasn't here to protect you two and humans heard him?" I spat once more.
Felix didn't move as he looked up at me, "He's a baby Changbin, learning how to walk. He's obviously going to fall and cry."
"That's why you make sure to catch him" I spat as I began to check Woobin for any injuries.
"Well I'm sorry I can't do anything that lives up to your expectations" Felix began to argue back, "He's a baby. Bound to fall and cry as that what a baby does. Now please," he whispered, his voice getting quieter and more calm, "I don't wanna argue in front of Woobin anymore."
"Then catch him next time" I whispered back, as Felix looked at me, his eyes glossed over as he shook his head in defeat before walking towards the door.
I changed my tone quickly as I saw him open the door, my heart racing as I never liked when he went out alone, as I couldn't be there to protect him.
"Where are you going?" I asked softly, my body language also changing as I reached out for him.
"I'm getting some fresh air" He whispered while brushing me off, making his way out the door as I cursed under my breath.
Woobin looked towards the door as he babbled a small 'ba' as he couldn't yet say mama.
Taking a deep breath I opened the door, following Felix outside as I saw him standing in our front yard.
Felix's POV:
Standing outside, I took deep breaths to calm myself down as I stared at the trees in front of me, the nature seeming to soothe me, as I listened to the birds chirping and the wind blowing.
I wished Changbin would realize I was still insecure about being a mother to Woobin as we had him pretty young, me being 20 and Changbin being 21 when we found out I was pregnant. Woobin was just a baby and is bound to cry, I wish Changbin would just be able to see that. It's not easy making sure a one year old doesn't cry every time he falls; or just in general.
I heard the door open and the crunching of the leaves behind me as I could smell his scent as my eyes glossed over again, wishing I could do better in his eyes.
"Felix" I heard him whisper softly, his hand reaching out to grab my wrist as I felt tingles surge through me.
"Yes?" I whispered as I heard Woobin babble 'ba', turning around while gently taking him from Changbin.
"I'm sorry" Changbin whispered as I looked away from him, my focus on Woobin.
"You know I doubt about being a good mother to Woobin" I start, "And with you scolding me like this it doesn't make me feel any better" I continue.
"Felix..." I heard him speak, but I kept talking.
"I know I'm not the best mom ever, but hell I'm doing my best. I'm sorry I don't live up to your expectations, but he's just a baby..." I was cut off feeling Changbin quickly cup my face as his lips crashed onto mine, catching me completely off guard.
Immediately shutting up, he pulled away breathless as I looked at him, my eyes wide and my heart racing. It was always me who would normally kiss first, not the other way around. So him kissing me first was definitely a surprise.
"You're better than my expectations" he whispered softly, his finger now under my chin as he lifted my face up to look at him.
I gulped as I nodded, not able to speak. My cheeks flushed pink and my heart racing a mile per second.
"I'm sorry for what I said" he started, "And for arguing in front of Woobin. I know you are doing your best, and I'm sorry for not always noticing. I wouldn't wanna do this," he whispers while hinting at Woobin "with anyone else but you."
"It's okay. I wouldn't want anyone else either" I whispered, feeling his hand now rest against my cheek as Woobin started saying 'dada' over and over as I laughed softly, my tears now long gone as Changbin wiped them all away.
