Vernon's POV:

Morning came as Seung Cheol was in the kitchen making me some coffee. He kept teasing me about last night, about how I was clinging onto his waist all night long. I was getting a bit annoyed and flustered at his teasing, but it made him happy so I let him continue.

Making my way into the kitchen Seung Cheol bumped into me as I caught him quickly before he could stumble and fall.

"Watch it" I scolded him before he giggled nervously, handing me my coffee.

Taking the cup from him, the lid popped off as the coffee spilled on my hand, causing me to curse and set the cup down.

Seung Cheol's eyes widened as he started to apologize, going to the sink to run the cold water.

"Damnit Seung Cheol" I spat coldly at him, seeing him cower at my voice.

"I'm sorry baby, I thought I put the lid on" he told me softly while going to get an ice pack.

"Don't call me that Seung Cheol, and I don't need your help" I spat as he stood still, his lips turning into a small pout as tears filled his eyes.

"B-but..." he goes to say only for me to cut him off.

"I don't need your help, you can't do anything right" I mumbled while running my hand under cold water.

"That's not true" he whispered, pain laced in every word he said.

Rolling my eyes, I grabbed my bag before shoving past Seung Cheol and out the door, leaving him behind. Little did I know, my boyfriend was also burned by the coffee. I was too dumb and blinded by my own needs to have noticed.

Seung Cheol's POV:

After the incident this morning I didn't bother going to see Vernon during lunch. It wasn't because I was afraid, it was because I was nervous.

I never liked when people were upset or mad at me, as it was never my intention to do so. I didn't bother to even eat lunch as I was sick to my stomach all day.

Eve, my coworker, could tell something was up as she brought me back a pink lemonade from lunch, my favorite drink. However I managed to keep myself busy and distracted throughout the day to keep my mind off the pain in my heart, but also on my thigh.

When the lid popped off the coffee, some of it spilled on my right thigh. It wasn't a bad burn, but it still hurt and left a red mark. Cleaning the rooms, Eve came in to interrupt me.

"Vernon is here" she said softly before leaving the room.

My heart began racing as I smelled his cologne from afar as I neared the waiting room. I couldn't stop myself from blushing a least a little bit, knowing he was here to pick me up and take me home. Walking into the lobby, I was met with a sweaty, out of breath Vernon.

His hair was messed up, eyes were red, he was panting hard, and his hands were slightly trembling. The second he saw me he pulled me into his embrace as he took a deep breath.

"Where the hell were you? You didn't come to my practice to walk home with me, so I ran home and you weren't there either. You scared the shit out of me Seung Cheol" he says in one breath, cupping my face in his hands to look at me.

"I'm sorry Vernon, I lost track of time" I told him honestly, which was the truth. I had no idea it was already 730pm as I got distracted by working overtime.

Vernon nodded before saying, "I'm sorry about this morning, I didn't mean any of it, but please don't ignore me like that. I need to know if you're safe. Can you promise me that?"

With now pink cheeks and a racing heart, I nodded my head yes "I promise."

He kissed the top of my head softly before thanking Eve, then walked me back home, our hands intertwined.

Vernon's POV:

I sat on the bed while Seung Cheol was standing up drying my wet hair with a towel. We just finished showering together as Seung Cheol was wearing a pair of black underwear with a white cropped tee. My eyes scanned over his body until I stopped at his thigh. I grazed my fingers gently over his red mark as he flinched.

"What happened?" I asked him softly.

His eyes averted to his mark before focusing his attention back on me, "It's nothing, just a bug bite."

I knew he was lying as I gently grabbed his wrists to stop him.

"Don't lie to me" I whispered coldly, causing him to cower.

"It's from the coffee this morning, but I'm okay" he whispered softly while smiling at me, "Don't worry."

I sighed while grazing my finger over the mark "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't wanna bother you" he says while going back to drying my hair.

I move away from his touch to look at him "But I want to take care of you."

Seung Cheol frowns while kissing my lips softly "You already do."

I sigh while whispering "But not well."

He frowns again while cupping my cheeks "Don't say that."

"But it's true..." He cuts me off.

"And I still love you" he says.

My heart began racing as my cheeks turned pink. Too nervous to say I love you back, I nuzzled my face into his neck before placing a soft kiss on his sweet spot; letting him know I loved him too.
