San never wanted to mate with Mingi, but it was his last resort as the hybrid was already in the castle as his rut hit.

His land desperately needed a heir to help save their kingdom, and Mingi was in the perfect place at the right time for San.

Mingi could vividly remember the way San felt as he thrust into him from behind, his head was pressed down in a pillow so San wouldn't have to look at him, and his other hand wrapped tightly around Mingi's throat.

Mingi didn't wanna do it, but he had no say as he felt San release deep inside, and his worse days were yet to come.

As soon as Mingi found out he was pregnant, San did not care one bit. All San cared about was the baby being a boy. The workers cared for Mingi immensely up until the point of the gender reveal.

The day before the reveal, San cornered Mingi as he whispered in his ear, "If that baby isn't a boy," he started; his voice low and cold, "I will kill you and that baby will be sent to an orphanage. Got it?"

Those words sent chills down Mingi's spine, as the doctor overheard the words exchanged between them; and he couldn't help but feel sadness towards Mingi and the baby.

It's not Mingi's fault whatsoever if the baby is a boy or girl.

The following day as the doctor was alone in the room with Mingi doing an ultrasound, the rest of the people in the palace waiting anxiously outside the door, the doctor froze as he felt his heart fall to the pit of his stomach.

Pulling down Mingi's shirt, he grabbed his bag and his car keys as he ushered Mingi to get up.

"We are leaving. Now" the doctor spoke quickly yet quietly as Mingi's eyes widened in confusion.

"The baby is a girl" the doctor told him as Mingi felt his eyes widen and fill with tears.

Yet he wasn't afraid.

Taking the doctors hand, he lead Mingi down the stairs where no one could see them before they slipped out the back door and into the doctors car. Fleeing the castle, Mingi never once looked back, and that's when he knew he never wanted to see San again.

Since the day Mingi left, San never gave up on searching for him. Desperately trying to figure out where he went and why he left.

San was angered Mingi left without saying anything, and by leaving with their child San knew nothing about; not even the gender.

The doctor lied about how Mingi left, saying Mingi went to use the restroom before the reveal then never came back, and of course everyone believed the doctor as he earned the palaces trust.

The doctor took Mingi deep into the woods to a small cabin where Mingi gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She looked exactly like San and was a little cat hybrid like himself, but Mingi loved their daughter more than words could explain.

Mingi always assumed before Aera was born that he would hate it if she looked like San as he despised him, but the first moment he saw her, he thought she was absolutely perfect. And did not care one bit that she looked like her father, as he would do everything in his power to raise her into a beautiful young women.
