Boy Next Door: Yunho x Mingi (Ateez)

Summary: Yunho and Mingi grew up together, neighbors, Yunho only being a couple months old older. However, one night when they were drinking, things escalated, and now Mingi is pregnant.

Mingi sat alone in his bathroom, looking at the two faint lines on the pregnancy stick. His hands were shaking as chills ran down his spine. He felt sick to his stomach as he took a sharp breath in.

How did this happen?

How did he let this happen?

He recalled the night Yunho and Mingi's family got together. They were all good friends, as hell, they were neighbors all their life's. Mingi and Yunho grew up together since they were babies. Yunho only being a couple months older than Mingi.

Mingi recalled how they all had a few drinks, the way the alcohol made his throat burn with each sip he took. He remembered how Yunho dragged him outside, just to get away for a bit as they both got some fresh air. Mingi didn't know what took over him that night, but something made him want Yunho.

Mingi can't lie, he has always found Yunho attractive, but they were best friends; and best friends shouldn't see each other in that way, right?

He couldn't stop himself as he kissed Yunho, feeling Yunho hesitate until he kissed back. Mingi didn't stop him as Yunho shoved him into the backseat of his car, getting on top as both of their shirts came off. He definitely couldn't stop as he felt Yunho guide himself in, filling him up inside as Mingi let his name roll off his lips.

Mingi sat down on the bathroom floor, his hands grabbing his phone as he picked it up, unlocking it as he dialed Yunho's number.

It didn't take long for Yunho to pick up, and Mingi knew he woke him up as he heard his sleepy voice on the other line, yawning a bit as he asked Mingi 'what's up?'

"We need to talk Yunho" Mingi whispered, his voice going out on him as he could no longer stay strong.

Yunho sat up in his bed, now wide awake as he never heard Mingi cry before.

"Hey, hey what's wrong? Why are you crying?" Yunho asked, getting out of bed as he started throwing on random clothes that were scattered on the floor.

"We fucked up so bad" Mingi choked out, his voice finally coming back, but his tears still falling as he leaned his head back against the wall.

"Hey" Yunho started, his voice gentle as he made his way out his bedroom door, running down the stairs and towards the front door.

"We didn't do anything wrong okay? Don't beat yourself up over this" Yunho told him, thinking Mingi was guilty for having sex with him, his best friend.

"I'm coming over okay?" Yunho cooed, walking towards Mingi's house as Mingi began to panic.

"N-No!" Mingi shouted, then lowered his voice as he stood up and off the floor, "I'll meet you outside."

Mingi hung up the phone as Yunho was frozen, taken aback by Mingi yelling at him, something he has also never done. Yunho waited at the bench outside of their houses, watching Mingi walk towards him as he stood up.

Before Yunho could get a word out, Mingi was already speaking.

"I'm pregnant" he whispered, but Yunho heard it loud and clear.

He couldn't speak as Mingi handed him the test, staring down at the two faint lines on the test, knowing that this baby was his. He was frozen in shock, not able to speak, yet he managed to move his body as he hugged Mingi, taking him into his arms as he felt Mingi break down once more.

Yunho rubbed his back, letting him cry into his chest as Yunho finally managed to cup his cheeks, looking him in the eyes as he wiped away Mingi's tears with his thumb.

"Shhhhh" Yunho whispered, his gentle voice and soft touch seeming to sooth Mingi as he began to calm down, yet his body was still trembling as he scooted closer towards Yunho's chest.

"Everything is going to be okay, I'm right here, and I am not going anywhere" he assured him, watching as Mingi nodded, his body seeming to relax as he began to take deep breaths.

"Look at me" Yunho whispered, watching at Mingi lifted up his face, his eyes glossy and his nose red from crying, but to Yunho, he still looked breath taking.

"I got you" he told him, watching as Mingi gave him a reassuring smile, hearing Mingi whisper a small, "I know" before Yunho began wiping more of his tears.

Not knowing what came over him, Yunho took ahold of Mingi's hands, holding them gently as he tried warming them up, the cold winds beginning to wrap them into a hug.

"Stop crying okay?" Yunho whispered, doing his best to try and soothe a crying Mingi, "It's not good for the baby."

Mingi nodded, doing his best to control his tears as Yunho kept wiping them away, but what finally made them go away was when Yunho bent down, planting a small kiss to Mingi's forehead.

"Now let's go back inside, it's cold" Yunho spoke, taking off his jacket before laying in over Mingi's shoulders.

"And we can tell the parents whenever you're ready."

Little did they know, the parents already knew, because somehow parents seem to find out everything! <3
