Summary: Vernon has Seungkwan be his fake boyfriend to make his ex regret breaking up with him. But what if Seungkwan regrets it because he has feelings for Vernon?

Seungkwan slammed the door to his apartment, making his way to his bedroom as he flew the door open; kicking off his shoes as he flopped down on his bed.

Heaving a heavy sigh of relief, he rolled over on his back, staring up at the ceiling, thinking back to where it all went wrong. Thinking back on why he agreed to this stupid fucking idea.

The idea of being Vernon's fake boyfriend.

Vernon's ex, Kai, broke up with him because Vernon wasn't very affectionate and because Kai wasn't feeling it any more. Therefore, Vernon wanted to get back at him.

Vernon wanted Kai to hurt and feel the same pain he did when Kai broke his heart. Which lead to Vernon asking his best friend, Seungkwan, to be his fake boyfriend to make Kai regret ever breaking up with him.

Seungkwan didn't know why he said yes. Maybe it was because Vernon has been his best friend for so long? Or was it because Vernon never asked favors from Seungkwan, and Seungkwan felt like he owed him one?

Or maybe it was due to the fact that Seungkwan had a crush on Vernon.

Seungkwan never spoke about his sexuality with Vernon, afraid to tell his friend the truth. He knew Vernon wasn't one to judge, but he just couldn't take that chance. He couldn't take the chance that his friend could be uncomfortable around him.

Especially if he found out he liked him.

Seungkwan closed his eyes, feeling so helpless and useless as his heart raced in his chest after what just took place. Vernon and Seungkwan were out studying at a cafe, something they usually do as friends, not as a fake couple.

However, Kai walked into the cafe, and Vernon couldn't help but look his way. Seungkwan looked up, noticing the way Vernon looked at him.

And fuck, Seungkwan wished Vernon would look at him like that.

Look at him like he was the prettiest man on earth. Look at him like he was the only one left on earth. Look at him like his life depended on it. And look at him like he loved him.

Vernon's eyes were glowing, his mouth slightly parted, and his cheeks flushed as Seungkwan watched him examine Kai's every move. However, it wasn't until Kai looked around, spotting someone's eyes on him as his eyes locked with Vernon's.

Vernon looked away, but in that moment an idea popped into his head. Turning towards Seungkwan, Vernon placed his lips on his, kissing him ever so softly as his hands went up to cup his face. Seungkwan was speechless. Absolutely speechless.

He couldn't comprehend what just happened, he had no time to think until Vernon's lips were no longer on his. Seungkwan's heart was racing, and he knew damn well his face was as red as a tomato.

And to make it worse, he couldn't stop smiling. He tried to tell himself that it was just for the role of being Vernon's fake boyfriend, but that wasn't true. Seungkwan couldn't lie. He was smiling because his crush of five years just kissed him.

But that smile didn't last long as Seungkwan looked up, only to see Vernon was paying no attention to him. His eyes were only on Kai's. Seungkwan felt his heart shatter, a lump forming in his throat as Vernon turned back around.
