It was now after the complete mess of the play and Ella went backstage to make sure Nate was alright.
"What happened up there?" Ella asked laughing.
"I know you're into him, and I get it. I mean, he's older, and he's smarter."
"You what?"
"I heard you earlier on the phone."
"Are you talking about Julian? I was talking to Serena. I was helping her. She's the one who likes him, not me. And anyway, you don't have the right to be jealous. You're with Vanessa, remember?"
"I know. But I can't help it." Nate said as he looked at her.
"Oh, no. I am not gonna listen to this. You can't be with Vanessa and then tell me you're jealous when you see me with another guy." Ella told him.
"I can't help how i feel."
"I've given you loads of chances, Nate. And besides, Vanessa really likes you." Ella said and walked out.

Ella was at the bar with her cocktail when someone came and sat beside her.
"Hello, beautiful." He said and she looked at him.
"Carter... what are you doing here?"
"Buying you a drink." He replied and put his hand on her thigh which made her smile.
