---------- Chapter 39 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The thick card is beautiful, very intricate, obviously very expensive. But it’s blank. It doesn’t say the name of the couple.
“I don’t get it,” I mumble after turning the card over a couple of times.
“Oops sorry! Wrong envelope,” Draco chuckles, passing me two others.
I open the first one and nearly squeal in excitement. It’s an invitation to Hermione and Ron’s wedding!
“They’re getting married!” I shriek happily. “I can’t believe Hermione didn’t tell me though,” I muse after a moment, slightly hurt.
“That’s kind of my fault,” Draco admits looking abashed. “I told her to send me the card so I could surprise you. Call me selfish, but I wanted to be the one to see your face,” he explains, grinning easily.
I smile at him and lean in for a quick kiss. Draco pecks me slightly before disengaging. “You have another envelope to open, love,” he reminds me, stroking my face.
“It can wait,” I breathe into his ear, making him shudder. “Where are we going?”
“To a hotel. I thought we could use some private time,” he whispers, nibbling on my earlobe making me gasp in pleasure.
“I didn’t tell my parents though,” I mutter after a moment. I want to be with Draco, but my parents will flip if I’m not in London!
“I called them for you. Told them where I was taking you too,” he murmurs, kissing me tenderly.
“And they’re fine with us being alone?” I ask a little baffled.
“I was shocked too. I thanked my lucky stars and got the hell out of your house,” he admits, his kisses on my neck.
I squirm a little in protest. Neck kissing always tickles me!
“Open the next envelope,” Draco instructs, making me giggle as he nibbles me lightly.
I sigh in frustration and tear the second envelope open. I had already pretty much guessed what it was. It would be an invitation to Harry’s wedding. And unfortunately I was right about who he was marrying too; Ginny Weasley.
“You look upset,” Draco comments, lifting me onto his lap.
“Yeah. Harry is marrying Ginny. I hate her guts,” I admit.
But I don’t think Draco was paying any attention to me. He slips his hand under my blouse. His cold hands make me shiver. He rests his head against my shoulder and keeps his hands locked lightly around my stomach. Tracing up and down my stomach every once in a while.
“I love you,” he whispers seductively.
“God damn it Draco!” I exclaim, moaning a little as he runs his fingers around the waistband of my jeans.
“What’s wrong?” he demands, wondering whether he did something wrong.
“Why did you book us into a hotel so far away?” I grumble making him chuckle.
