Chapter 29

Day 1

It’s the first day of the school holidays. I’m desperately bored! Harry is staying with Ron for a week before heading to the States for a holiday. Hermione is off in Switzerland with her family. And me? Well, I’m back in Privet Drive.

I suppose I shouldn’t complain though...it is the first day after all.

But I’m getting distracted! The reason I’m starting this diary is because Draco thinks that if I don’t see him for a long time, my affection towards him will decrease. Its utter rubbish, but it got me wondering...so just to be safe, I’m going to keep everything in black and white.

Yesterday was quite bad. I had to say goodbye to Harry, Ron and Hermione. And if that wasn’t bad enough, I had to say bye to Draco. It was a huge, teary affair. Even Draco teared up.

I mean, I know I’ll see him again, but when?

Day 15

I’ve been sending owls to Harry. He seems to be having an amazing time. I can’t blame him. Hermione’s just decided to join the boys in the States.

I haven’t heard from Draco.

Has he forgotten about me?

Day 20

It’s my birthday today.

Mum and dad threw me a little party with all my old friends. James was there. I actually had butterflies in my stomach when I saw him. That shouldn’t happen should it? I mean...I’m in love with Draco!

Harry, Ron and Hermione sent me this gorgeous blood red dress as a birthday present. It probably is like the most amazing present I’ve gotten so far!

I still haven’t heard from Draco. I wonder why he hasn’t contacted me.

Day...it doesn’t even matter anymore!

I got my first letter from Draco today.

“Deidre, I just got offered a post to teach at Durmstrang. My father reckons it would be a good opportunity for me.”

That’s it.

He didn’t wish me for my belated birthday. He didn’t ask how I was or anything.

I’m not even going to answer that letter.

August 29

Draco hasn’t contacted me. At all. I knew this would happen!

I guess he’ll be a professor at Durmstrang. I’m sure all his female students will throws themselves at him. What I don’t know though, is whether he’d resist on my account.

August 30

I’m getting all packed for school.

I can’t even imagine a year without Harry, Ron, Hermione and Draco.

August 31

I was reading through every stupid entry in this stupid diary. I don’t know why I bothered all! Dra He was worried I’d forget about him. Maybe he should have been the one to keep the journal!
