You, the ally and friend I thought I could depend on,
You, the one who feigned sympathy as you turned on me,
You, I address you now, the friend you left in the cold,
You, I name you, I shine a light on.You, who befriended me when I first met them,
You, who said you'd be there for me all the way,
You, who encouraged me to color my world with them,
You, who made every effort to see my future in them.
You, who got me to believe there was love between me and them,
You, who said you'd be an anchor of stability for us,
You, who pretended to show concern when they abandoned me,
You, who connived with them to conceal the truth from me.You, who washed your hands of the crime, like Pontius Pilate,
You, who bought into their lie and rewrote history with them,
You, who looked blithely on as I sank into the depths of endless misery,
You, who traded friendship for cowardice, honesty for loyalty,
You, who attacked me when I brought up your words to me,
You, who knew the truth but covered it up anyway,
You, who, like them, turned from a friend to a fraud,
You, the collaborator, you shall get what you paid for.
