Keep your distance, stay in your place
If you know what's best for you.
Don't come close, stay behind the glass
Curiosity can be lethal, you know.
Remain in your zone, don't tempt fate
Some things must remain a secret.
I've said things, and done more so
That I could never justify and would prefer to let lie.
There are parts within me I'm not proud of;
From my background to my beliefs and attitude,
I see no reason to redeem them at all;
No worth in keeping them with me.
Disappointment and guilt, they're etched in my bones.
Don't look closely if you don't want them.
Your best option is staying away,
For I'm gravely ill, and you don't want to have this.
Let me condemn myself to walk without rest,
To spare you and others of this disease I bear.
Please, be happy, find your joy and paradise.
This is the best gift you can give me now.
I want you to find happiness, even as I sacrifice my own.
And don't say you want me, for you might regret it someday.
I want to be the last of my kind, please let this be.
I want to spare you and the future from my pain and suffering.
If you're looking for the perfect one, don't come looking for me;
You're better off with someone else.
In the end, stick to what you know.
It's the safest place you'll ever be.
