It's difficult as it is
Having to get up and go
But imagine if there's nothing
Pushing you to get out there
Wouldn't that be nice?
To just be a layman
Sit around and do what you want.
To not be forced to do it
Whether you want to or not.
And to have a routine
That tells you what to do.
You can be lazy because you want to be
And because nobody is stopping you.
To imagine worlds of your own
And play them as you see fit.
To eat and sleep and just do
Whatever you want to do
Because you can.
Isn't it nice?
But isn't it also tiring?
To have nothing stopping you
Or someone you need to prove wrong.
To have a routine you can live with
Because it keeps you on your orbit.
To have someone telling you what to do
So you won't be lost.
And because without it
You won't know what's next.
Too much of something is bad enough
As the elders say.
Freedom is a beautiful thing
But having too much of it?
It's dangerous and debilitating.
