Hey guys! Just to inform you, this is a oneshot, and it's where all of the characters are obsessively in love with you (except Bubble. He's a platonic yandere, due to Caine. And Kinger. Due to his age, it would be really weird, so he's a platonic yandere). I had this idea ever since I first watched the pilot, because, let's be honest, everyone in this show is insane enough to pass off as a yandere. If you don't like yandere content, you can skip ahead to the next one!

(Edit: this used to be a fem!reader oneshot, but I decided to make it a gender-neutral reader oneshot because it made more sense for some reason.)

Things in the circus had been getting strange lately. Stranger than usual.

Pomni had been urging you that she stay by your side more often. She often pleads to protect you if any harm comes your way, which doesn't usually happen, but she assures you she's there for you nonetheless, which is sweet. She also often comes to you when she's especially anxious and stressed about the circus, and the exit, and whatnot. She comes to you for comfort often and is getting more and more paranoid around the others.

Ragatha has oddly been there every single time you've gotten hurt, if you got hurt, and was able to help every time. It gives you the sensation that she's watching you, almost. She's also been "mothering" you more often, doting on you.

More and more of Jax's stuff has been appearing in your room every night. You know he has a key to your room, as he does with everyone, but out of all of the rooms, you suppose he comes into yours the most. Oddly enough, you can't seem to find a lot of your things as of late. Come to think of it, where did you last place your diary?

Caine has been excluding you from adventures more often. Well, not every adventure. Just the more risky and dangerous ones. More of his "all-seeing eyes" have been popping up near you lately.

Gangle has been coming to you for comfort and advice more often. Jax has been bullying her more lately, she claims, but she doesn't really elaborate on why. What kind of beef does Jax have with her, anyway?

Kinger has been talking to you more lately. Mostly about insects, but you appreciate his company. He's recently been urging you to hang out with him in his pillow fort so you can talk about things together more often. You're usually suddenly interrupted by Caine during these hangouts.

Zooble has been flipping Jax off recently for talking to you, more specifically flirting with you. While you and Jax both know it's a joke, Jax tends to act like it's not, making you flustered and angering Zooble to the point of yelling at him in annoyance. While you're glad they're looking after you, you still often advise Zooble not to be so harsh with their words concerning Jax's behavior, and they listen to you but tend not to care.

Bubble's also been acting strange. He's been acting a lot more protective whenever you're on adventures and tends not to leave with Caine only to be with you. He's also been checking up on you a lot more, every 5 hours or so. He doesn't check on you while you're asleep, though. He always says it's just to make sure you're okay, but he once let slip out that he was doing this for Caine. Now, what would Caine want with you?

Currently, you guys were preparing to do another "adventure." A tamer one, for your sake. You're currently comforting Gangle, her holding onto you while you console her. You decided to confront Jax about the matter now that you were all there.

"Jax, why are you so hard on poor Gangle? She's been coming over to me almost every day, claiming you've been teasing her."

"What? I haven't been teasing Gangle! More than I usually do, I mean..." Jax answered in his usual nonchalant manner.

"Really? Gangle..." You asked, rather sternly, as you looked down at the sad mask sat atop of the carefully wrapped ribbons. This didn't mean that you completely trusted Jax, of course, but Gangle's complaints had started to make less and less sense as the time passed.

"I...I...I'm sorry! I've been making it up as an excuse to visit you! Please forgive me!" Gangle admitted, sobbing into your torso. She really wanted to lie and cover it up, but she just had to be honest to you. She was also too sad and panicked to come up with a good enough excuse at the moment.

Jax scoffed lightly as you consoled Gangle.

"Hey, it's okay! You know all you have to do is just ask to hang out with me, right?" You replied.

"Really? T-Thanks (Name)! Y-You're the best!" Gangle said in between sniffles.

"Alright, alright, let's stop the sobfest and get on with this %$@! already," Zooble cut in.

You sighed. "Alright. Just gotta go look for something in my room real quick! Be right back! Heh, hope it's there..."

As you were gone, there was a silence in the tent, only being broken by Gangle's comedy mask falling on the floor once again. And she had just started fixing it, too.

"My comedy mask! Jax..." Gangle lamented, holding her broken mask as she teared up again.

"That's for lying about me to (Name)! You could have ruined my wonderful reputation in their eyes!" Jax sneered, glaring at Gangle with a deeply annoyed, dark expression.

"Reputation, my @&$," Zooble commented snarkily.

"Why didn't I think of that?" Pomni quietly thought out loud.

"Okay, okay, no one needs to be lying to (Name) to get close to them. What happened to good old-fashioned honesty and communication?" Ragatha interjected.

"That honestly sounds boring, I'd rather do something flashy like doing cool tricks or breaking stuff to impress 'em," Jax replied with a proud smirk.

"Or I could impress them with my insect collection!" Kinger added.

"No one asked, Kinger," Jax mumbled, not-so quietly.

"How about you all just don't get in my way?" Ragatha quietly lamented, rubbing her forehead tiredly with her hands.

Just as the others were about to argue with her and oppose the notion entirely, you came back.

"(Name), hey, you're back! We totally weren't fighting while you were gone!" Pomni nervously exclaimed, earning a hard jab in the torso from Jax.

"Okay? Anyway, I couldn't find the thing I was looking for. Maybe I need to ask someone about it later, huh, Jaxy?" You joked, nudging Jax with your elbow. Both the physical contact and the nickname made Jax flustered as all heck, but he tried to push it down.

"Hehe, yeah..." He half-heartedly laughed, honestly just trying to regain his composure.

"Jax, you've been stealing stuff from (Name)'s room?!" Ragatha asked pointedly, glaring at him with her hands on her hips, her expression holding a darker emotion that you couldn't decipher.

"Yeah, yeah, so what? I do it to all of you," Jax deflected, trying to move on from the subject.

"But not as much as you do to me, don't you? You sneaky rascal, hehe!" You chortled.

"JAX! We'll discuss this later..." Ragatha hissed at the purple bunny, making him scoff and roll his eyes.

"Ugh, let's just get this nightmare started already," Zooble intervened.

"Agreed," Pomni added tiredly, holding your hand for comfort, earning a few glares from the others. Mostly Jax and Zooble, because Kinger honestly had no idea what was going on anymore (and was also too busy looking at you with awestruck eyes), and Gangle was still crying over her mask (trying to muster the courage to ask you to fix it later).

You sighed, deciding to put all of these thoughts in the back of your mind. Maybe you'd finally wake up and find out what was going on around you someday.
