This oneshot is about Amelia from Infinity Train, so if you haven't watched IT, go watch it please! Or just skip ahead if you want.
Hey guys! Just to clarify, this is young Amelia, like, when she first took over the train. Think of it as, like...a few hours/days(?) since Ryan and Min left the train.
Also, Y/n in this oneshot is an adult, if that wasn't already clear. Just a reminder.
---------------------------------------------------------
A few hours ago...
You were now hiding behind a flipped-over table, catching your breath after having ran as fast as you could, away from that killer robot. It wasn't even made to harm anyone, much less kill. But someone had already tricked the poor thing out before it could be allowed to have a choice. If robots can even make sentient choices.
"Ugh, where did they go?! Stupid...ugh! I know you're in here!" Your biggest threat yelled, but you didn't dare respond. It would give away where you were.
You had been stuck on this train for about a week, and hopes of getting out went up and down, just like your number. You hated this stupid train already, you just wanted to leave. You just wanted to see your partner again. Last time you saw them, they were in a hospital bed, dealing with the hellish blight that is cancer.
"(Name), (Name), listen. I'm gonna be alright, okay? Everything will be fine."
Those were the last words you heard from them before running away from the anxiety and stress. Your emotions recently had been put to the test, in and out of the real world.
And not only were you helplessly stuck on this train, not even knowing if your partner was still alive, but you had to deal with the most terrifying, yet annoying, woman you had ever met in your life: Amelia Hughes. You were just about to convince One to give you your exit, when she just HAD to usurp the train...throne...whatever. She reprogrammed one of the stewards and started aiming its fire at you, and that's how this whole thing started.
You wearily looked at poor One, mortified. Amelia had just...split him in half. Was he going to become... One...One now? Since he was One, but now he's two Ones. So...Two?
A blast of fire, narrowly missing your face, interrupted your thoughts. You felt a scar forming, crimson red liquid already slightly seeping out of the fresh wound.
"Ha! Found you. Thought you could hide from me forever, huh, (Name)?" Amelia chirped from behind you with a cocky tone.
"You know, honestly. I really did. But it seems like the universe doesn't want to let me win."
"Seems like it."
There was an awkward silence before she started firing at you again, and you ran faster than you thought you could ever run. Maybe it was the adrenaline? Whatever the case, you were now scrambling for the exit. Since this was the engine, maybe the exit wasn't that far?
Your hopes were destroyed as you felt cold, robotic arms crash onto you and bury you in their clutches. It was like a web. Actually, more of a bird's nest, except you're inside the bird's nest.
"Return to your seat," the robot said coldly. It was quick and to the point, but you couldn't care less.
"So this is how it ends, huh? Trapped in a robotic...octopus...lady, stuck on a crazy train. Well, at least I'll probably get to see my partner again. At least I get to see a pretty lady before I die," you quipped.
"Flattery will get you nowhere now. And..." she seemed to hesitate. "What was that about your partner?"
Silence quickly filled the atmosphere out of the randomness of that question. You didn't want to answer, but your confusion and irritation compelled you to.
"You don't need to know that!" Well, that's what you said before impulsively venting out to her. "They've been struggling with cancer lately. I ran away, trying to run from my emotions, but all i've accomplished is getting on this dumb train."
It seemed like Amelia's expression softened. She looked pensive for a while, but she quickly returned to her stoic, serious expression.
"You know what? Stewardess, let them go. We...might need them," Amelia urged the Stewardess. The stewardess quickly let you go, and you ran for the exit before you could even rationally question exactly why Amelia had let you go in the first place.

Present time...
You were hiding behind a building, catching your breath. This car wasn't finished, but you didn't care. You just needed to buy yourself time. Time to run away from her.
"Ugh, this STUPID cannon!" Amelia complained to herself. "Honey, why don't you just come out and let me do this the easy way? I've already made so much progress with this car, it'd be a shame to blast it all down. But you know what? I'd do it. For you~," you heard a deep robotic voice say.
"And risk getting myself found by 'the new conductor'? No way," you remarked. You understood the robot...suit, or whatever, but you didn't understand the need for Amelia to use a dumb voice changer like that.
"DARLING!" Amelia pleaded. "Can't you see I'm doing this all for you?!"
"You're doing this all for Alrick."
"I am doing this all for Alrick," she admitted. "But the next car will DEFINITELY be for you! I promise! Wouldn't you like to live in a perfect world with only you and me in it?"
"No, YOU would like to live in a world with only you and me in it. I want to go back to my home! My family! MY LOVER!"
"Don't you see?! I'M your lover now! Who needs them?!" Amelia was now "walking" closer towards where you were.
"I used to only be on this train for selfish matters. Well, they're not selfish to me, but whatever. I just wanted Alrick back. But when you told me you were on the verge of losing your partner, too, I told myself 'I can't have this poor soul losing their lover like I lost Alrick!' So, I thought, when your partner dies, I'll be your girlfriend! I'll be able to comfort you much better than anyone else, can't you see? We're meant for each other. Fate put us both on this train for a reason."
"No, you just think we're meant for each other. You just think that fate had us meet for a reason. But I just think you're a huge...DRAMA QUEEN!" You said as you hurled a heavy barrel towards Amelia, or her conductor-bot suit.
"You may want to act hard to get now, sweetie, but try as you might, you can never deny my love for you~!" Amelia said, trying to throw something back at you, probably to deter you from moving or something.
"Ugh, god. Who knew this train could be more of a hassle than it's worth?!"
"I know right?" A new voice said from above you. It wasn't Amelia's, and it wasn't yours. You looked up, only to see a...flying service bell?
"Hi! I'm Kez. Need some help?" Kez implored as she used her little sparkles to create a hand, extending it out to you.
"Boy, do I," you said as you took her hand, accepting her help. I mean, Kez was a literal, glittery, flying, service bell, but at least she wasn't a evil hottie in a robot suit.
