SURPRISED

Shamika looked too scared to answer the door, so I did instead. I got up from the sofa and opened it without hesitation.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

The man stepped back, making sure he was at the right house. I stood there making eye contact.

"Where's Shamika?"

"She's busy."

His face screwed up. "Who the fuck are you?"

"Does it matter?"

"Yeah, what the fuck you mean?!" He raised his voice.

"I mean...either way you're not coming in here."

"What? Yo, Shamika, it's Levi! Come the f..."

My fist hit him in the throat mid sentence. He stumbled, choking and gagging, trying to catch his breath. He was a big guy so I knew he would fall easily.

Many of them don't get into fights due to intimidating their foe. They're giants with glass jaws and subpar fighting abilities.

A few more men got out of a car, walking toward the house.

CRACK!

I hit Levi again, breaking his nose. Blood leaked all over his shirt and shoes. His body hit the porch hard.

The three men ran into the yard and I stepped over his unconscious body. I lift up my hand, causing a current of volts to drop one of them to the ground. The man's body convulsed then went limp.

"Oh shit!" The other two men stopped.

"Who's next?"

They picked up the third guy and made their way back to their car. I guess coming to get Levi off the porch was too much of a risk for them.

I shut the door and looked at Shamika.

"Are you okay?" I asked.

Her hands were shaking as she looked at me. Without words she ran into my arms and hugged me tight. I felt her body tremble and she began to cry.

"Ares, thank you, baby...thank you so much."

I looked into her eyes while the tears covered her face. Then I realized that Shamika was truly terrified of her ex. He must have put her through a lot of shit.

"It's okay, baby. I'm here now."

I kissed her lips, and I felt her body relax.

"Can we still go out to dinner?" She looked up at me.

I smiled. "Of course, let's go."

We walked out of the house, and I waited while she locked up. We both walked over Levi's body and went to my car.

Once I started the ignition, he finally began to wake up. Shamika checked her lipstick in the sun visor mirror. It was like nothing even happened earlier.

Her current calmness was very satisfying for me. Because I knew my baby finally felt safe.

Judy's revelation still had Amadi shaking his head. She was very sure of her plans, and he said she had his support.

Once they walked into the great room, King Hasani was still there with Nathan and Queen Euphoria.

Amadi could see Judy's eyes light up at the sight of his father.

"Hello, son...who's your friend?"

"Oh mother, this is Judy. Judy, this is my mother, Queen Euphoria."

She bowed. "It's a pleasure, your majesty."

"This is her husband, Nathan Spear."

"Nice to meet you also, sir."

Judy blushed while King Hasani watched her greet them. Amadi looked at ease, and now the king was curious at his son's change in mood.

"So...did you two work out your issue?" He asked.

"Yeah, everything is cool."

Hasani stood up. "Good. I'm going to go now. Thanks again for dinner."

"Of course. Thank you for not overly flirting with my wife."

Nathan and Hasani laughed while Euphoria shook her head. She noticed that Judy hadn't taken her eyes off of Amadi's father.

"Son, is your friend staying the night?"

"No..."

"Actually, your majesty. I was hoping to accompany King Hasani."

"What?" Hasani asked, confused.

Judy walked towards him with shy eyes. Her nerves made her breath shaky, and her eyes glossy.

"King Hasani, you are aware that I am the reincarnation of Queen Ebele."

"Yes, I'm aware."

"I would like to join your harem and fulfill the many dreams that I've been having."

The king was surprised at Judy's words. He looked at Amadi, who gave him a nod.

"Judy, you've been with my son."

"I know... but technically, I was with you first."

He looked at his son again. "Is she serious?"

"Yes, father."

She walked closer. "Even if I can't join your harem... I still want to be a part of your kingdom or live in Feloya."

King Hasani looked at Nathan and Euphoria.

"She is a crescian."

The queen added her thoughts, and King Hasani sighed.

"You really want to live in Feloya?"

"Yes, your majesty."

"Okay, fine. You're not joining my harem but I'm sure you'll meet someone else there. Let's go."

The portal opened up as Judy looked back at Amadi. He waved bye, and she mouthed the words thank you.

Once they were through the portal, Amadi walked out of the great room. He hoped the people of Feloya would be welcoming Judy, especially Queen Ebele.

Suddenly, one of the guardians ran towards him in panic.

"Prince Amadi! Something is wrong with the princess."

"Where is she?"

"In her bed... She won't wake up!"

He ran behind Wilma down the hall. When they got inside the room, an ice cold chill hit them right away, and he noticed the bed was empty.

"Where is she?" Amadi asked.

Wilma's eyes looked up with tears welled in them. She slowly pointed her finger in the same direction.

Amadi followed her stare. "What the fuck?...Imani?"

His heart broke as he watched his little sister on the ceiling. She was upside down, and her eyes were all white as she hissed at them.

"Oh no...she's possessed."
