RAY's POV

When it was just Mew who was nagging me, I could stand it. At least his voice was softer despite the acrid words. But now Boston and Cheum had joined in, once again reminding me that I was a burden when drunk.

"Aissshaaaa! Would you guys shut up already! Leave me the fuck alone! Can't I just drink in peace!" I shouted drawing the attention of the other club goers.

I took the premium bottle of whiskey that I had just ordered and got out of P'Yo's club ignoring the shouts from my friends asking where I was going.

Instead of taking my car, I walked aimlessly. Before I knew it, I was standing in front of our old mansion.

Since my mother had died here, my father had transferred us to another house and basically just left the mansion abandoned. It was like my father just wanted to forget the place had ever existed.

Now the gates are broken, some windows are shattered and the mansion's condition in general has just deteriorated. Still, I made my way inside the house, realizing even the doors are broken now. I drank from the whiskey bottle directly and climbed up the creaking stairs, unconsciously making my way to my mother's old sitting room.

It is very dirty and messy now,  even the wallpapers are peeling. Still, I sat myself on one of the old chairs. She used to always be in this room. I kept drinking and remembering how I'd subtly peek at what she was doing. Wondering what had kept her so busy she wouldn't even spare her only son a glance and find that she was drinking.

I lost track of time, how long I sat there before I sighed and left the room. Glancing at my watch it's now a little past 1am. I slowly made my way to the stairs, still clutching and sipping my whiskey.

Halfway through I see a man, croached facing what would have been the main living room wall.

I stopped and just peaked at what he was doing. He was painting a beautiful sunset view it turns out. I scoffed. Never knew these vandals are so romantic now.

I purposely walked down the rest of the steps noisily and I said in a loud voice that was sure to carry, the echo in the mansion louder at night.

"What are you doing?"

Startled, the brush in his hands cluttered to the ground. He glanced back as I slowly approached and stopped about 4 steps away from him and the wall, once again taking a big chug off my whiskey.

Perhaps, having gleaned that I wasn't a threat, he picked up the fallen brush and went back to painting like he never heard me speak.

"Don't you know that vandalism is a crime?" I say casually, as I observed the painting in front of me.

"So is breaking and entering, but then I'm sure you know that" the vandal finally spoke, in a deep, attractive voice.

I scoffed "I'll have you know, this is my house".

"Right," he said, dismissing me as he continued painting.

"Well, technically this is still my father's but since I'm an only child, this will be mine someday" I said, crossing my arms as I looked at him closely now.

From what I can discern, he's tall even when his half crouched down. Tattoo littered his arms and his ribcage which was visible due to the loose muscle tee he was wearing.

"So what's a rich boy like you doing alone in an abandoned mansion in the middle of the night anyway?" The man asked casually.

Got to admire his audacity. For a criminal, he sure doesn't appear to be bothered that he's been caught.
