RAY
Truth be told, I'm actually enjoying the way Yok is watching me like a hawk these days. I'd let him drag me along wherever he is to the surprise of his friends who are not used to Yok having anyone attached to his hip. The part of me that had always craved to be wanted and to be needed, is being healed by Yok's attention and need to have me near.
When I told him that I absolutely need to go see Boston today because I needed to check on him and he had a follow up check up, he sighed and got in the car driving towards Boston's mansion without complaining.
Ton was reclined in his bed, shirtless but his rib bandaged-watching a movie when I walked into his room. He smiled but it automatically fell off when a scowling Yok made his way inside and made himself comfortable on the couch, not even sparing Ton a greeting. Ton raised an eyebrow at me but I shrugged.
Just then a cute guy dressed in preppy clothes walked in, not realizing that there were other people in the room; saying he couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater in the bath. Ton looked at me sheepishly and I stuck my tongue at him because so much for a broken hearted Ton. I don't know how he managed to snag this guy though but he is cute.
"Uh... sorry... I didn't realize you have guests," he says smiling awkwardly to me and Yok.
"Ray, this is Nick, a friend of mine. Nick, this is Ray, my best friend. I think you've seen his pictures around. And that gangster looking guy is his boyfriend," Ton added, smiling triumphantly at an instantly seething Yok.
"Hi Nick, nice to meet you. Come on let me show you how to work that thing. Also just ignore the last part. Ton is insane. Yok and I are just friends," I told the cute guy conversationally, whose name is apparently Nick.
"Oh thank you Ray. Didn't know it was that easy," he smiled at me while scratching his head when I showed him the lever of the heater. "And yeah, Ton is a lot. We have a class together and I was just concerned why he had not been showing up but it seems I've been roped into staying here with him for a few days now," his boyish grin is captivating. No wonder Ton is looking like a rabid predator who had captured his prey.
"I think you can handle him well enough Nick, he's in bed behaving himself. You'll do great. Just don't let him run you over or more importantly charm you into doing something you don't want to. Ton could be persuasive," I smiled, giving his shoulders a pat before leaving him alone in the bathroom.
The two stubborn mules had not said a single word to each other the whole time. Yok looked uncaring, eyes closed, leaning back. Boston is glaring daggers at him and I told him he's wasting his time. Yok just won't budge.
"Finish your bath, I'll go charm Auntie Ann to fix us yummy lunch so we can go to the hospital afterwards," I told Boston.
"You're not going to help me bathe?" Ton whined, doing it on purpose to trigger Yok who instantly stood up beside me glaring at him.
