Forgetting that Yok's mom would be coming in early morning, I tiptoed to the bathroom to get the medicine kit that I've noticed previously was there. I slowly moved to the mirror and looked at the bite mark on my shoulder. In the heat of the moment, Yok must have bitten me too fiercely in here because this is the only one throbbing painfully despite my neck being literally littered with bruises, hickies and bite marks. Last night was intense and I'm pretty sure Yok has the same marks on him and even scratches on his back. Last night had been the most intense night Yok and I have ever had. I guess it's true what they say about angry sex, because the added roughness only intensified the desire we had for each other and the pleasure of coming together.

I was startled out of my reverie when cool fingers touched my arms, and I found Yok's mom with very worried eyes looking at my wounds. She was signing something. I'm pretty sure she's asking me what happened. I tried to check my pockets and sighed with relief when I found my phone. I typed that I was alright and she need not worry. These were just mosquito bites.

Knowing full well nobody was fooled by my excuse, but she finally nodded anyway as if sensing I wasn't going to offer any other information and she went out, gesturing for me to follow. After sneaking into the room to grab my shirt, I went searching for Yok's mom and found her in the kitchen where she was making a list. I asked her by typing if there's anything I can do to help. Nodding she signaled for me to follow and we both went outside and strolled towards the nearby wet market. Not forgetting to message Yok not to worry and that I was with his mom.

Frankly, it was my first time in such a place, it was smelly but the atmosphere was lively and merry this early morning. My exhaustion vanished, as I followed Yok's mom around as she purchased several vegetables and meats. My eyes are absorbing the interesting things I'm seeing for the first time. I've no idea where the food in my house came from, they were just there ready for me all the time.

"Hey pretty boy! You don't look like her son, who are you?" An elderly lady had asked curiously.

"Oh I'm a friend of Yok, khun," I answered politely.

"It's nice of you to be helping your friend's mom early in the morning," she smiled at me eyeing the several packages I had in my hands, before conversing with her other customers. Meekly following Yok's mom who brought me to a small place where a plate of mango sticky rice was served to us almost immediately when we sat down plastic stools and she gestured for me to taste it. I'm not really picky but I've never been to a wet market before and I've never eaten in places like this. But then I couldn't deny Yok's mom anything when she was staring at me expectantly, so I put a generous portion in my mouth. Surprisingly, this is one of the yummiest sweet foods I've ever had and she was smiling approvingly when I finished everything in a matter of a few minutes. Paying for our food and ordering a few take outs for Yok, writing in my phone when she insisted on paying, that I'd feel embarrassed visiting them next time if she doesn't let me pay this small amount.
