RAY
Ever since we got back together, Yok and usually wake up together and if one of us woke up first, the other would just laze in bed waiting for the other to wake up too, so we can bath and have breakfast together. So waking up to an already cold bed is surprising. Finding on the side table breakfast and a note from Yok saying he was going somewhere with the gang to scout made me smile. Yok, despite his rebellious appearance, is such a sweet and thoughtful boyfriend.
So seeing Black and Gram in the cafeteria while I was having lunch with Boston, Nick, Cheum, and April was surprising.
"Is everything alright?" Cheum asked, noting the confused expression on my face.
"Uh yeah. Hang on, I'll be back," I immediately stood up, half jogging to catch up to the ROL members who were already out of the door.
Gram stopped when he heard me calling their names and waited, greeting me enthusiastically and Black as expected only gave a subtle nod.
"Hey Ray! What's up?" Gram inquired, giving me a short hug.
"Hey! Is Yok also here already?" I asked, looking outside and searching for my boyfriend's handsome and tall profile.
"Yok? We haven't seen him yet today. We were expecting you to be together," Gram looked at me bewildered.
"You didn't go somewhere this morning?" I queried.
Black, as if sensing the situation, immediately pulled Gram and said that they had to hurry to do something.
Why did Yok say they were going somewhere? Did he lie to me?
"Hey, what happened?" Ton sensing the tension and staring at my baffled expression, slightly pounded on the table to catch my attention.
"Oh! It's nothing. Just that I thought Yok was with them. He left early today saying they had something to do. But they said they hadn't seen him," I shrugged, trying to dismiss how perturbed I felt. An uneasy feeling wrapping around my heart.
"Oh Ray, Yok must have a reason. Don't worry, okay?" Nick tried to reassure me, squeezing my arm for comfort.
Boston just continued to eye me with concern but knew me too well to voice anything. I was agitated at finding out my boyfriend is lying to me, it's god damned hard to maintain my composure.
That night, Yok came home late again and he smelled like booze and smoke. He must have gone out drinking. He never went out without me since we started dating, so I briefly wondered if he was cheating on me. But Yok would never do that to me, I mentally scolded myself and my paranoia. He still kissed me and made love to me passionately when he got back to the hostel and cuddled against me all night, and all my doubts flew away. But then again, he was gone early the next morning with the same excuse he had last time.
"What's the deal with you?" Boston asked curiously as I slammed the now empty plate and cup from the breakfast that Yok left me on my bedside again.
