Koa has been back at "home" for a day as his twin, Kin, is sick and the only person in this damn place that cares is Koa. The hallways haven't changed, the people are more miserable and everything is just shit. He wants to be back on the ship but he's keeping his promise to his captain, and uncle, to keep kin safe as possible while being back.
He's been at this place for a day and he's being married off. To some rich kid, Madam Seraphina Hearst, she's a tiefling because the whole family are tieflings for a reason Koa doesn't understand. It as always is an arranged marriage between two people. That as father had said "we've been waiting for a time where you were back home to meet and marry seeing as this is the time you marry later today, Miss Seraphina has been waiting since you turned sixteen." Koa thinks she can wait a few more years if she's already waited four. Apparently she can't because both families would like a new heir as soon as possible. To the koa says 'fuck no' in his head. His thoughts around his father tend to stay inside his head.
Standing outside Kin's room has started happening more now, he always did this when both lived in this place and it was happening less as he spent time on the boat. Koa knows fae doesn't know he's there. He wants to tell faer everything but he can't it's a secret. Their father knows kin will object immediately to it. So it's a secret.

Once the sunset on the first night he arrived home he was married, fully, because the consummation of the marriage had to happen. He hated every bit of it. He hates her. She's a vile creature. That's why as soon as he heard that kin had to leave to get fae's own medicine he had to leave with faem. He did hiding the ring in his bag. Hopefully kin won't go through the bag.
