He couldn't ruin it. Koa was so close to tell faem but he just couldn't fae was so excited to return back to the boat and take ax with faem to show Ax kin's favourite place. Koa was excited for the two of them so much so that he thought it was for the better. It wasn't especially because he helped the ship get its supplies. Everyone on the ship except kin and ax knew and none of them would say. Koa got silent goodbyes from the crew. The cold shoulder from the captain- his uncle but that didn't matter to him.
He spent time up in the crows nest just looking out to the sea he won't see for either a long time or never again. When he got down he knew it was time to get off which he did, without kin noticing. Ax might've if he did they didn't say anything to kin. She was waiting for him when he got off the ship. "Let's go, we've got this to do sweetie" she say, grabbing his arm and trying to drag him away.
"I want to see it off." That obviously upsets her so she lets go, and huffs.
The ship sets sail, he watches it go. He sees kin run up to the stern of the ship and yell, pissed with teary eyed "You liar. You liar." All he can do is give faem a sad wave and walk back to the house.
Yes he is a liar but kin is safer out there, not here. All he wants to do is protect faem even if kin doesn't need it anymore.
