When Kal came back with a change of clothes and a new hat koa knew he had to do something. Taking his hat sounds like a plan. He finds his chance when the party stops for a break koa finds his chance as kal is leaning against a tree. Koa stands in front of him "you doing okay kal" kal looks up after being asked "why wouldn't I be doin' okay darlin'" he says smirking, "I'm just checking on you sweetheart" koa says as he places a hand on his hip and a hand at the base of kal's neck.
Koa leans down to kal's face who looks up and closes his eyes as koa gets closer. In one swift movement along with koa kissing him the hat disappears of Kal's head as soon as koa has the hat he walks away. Kal stands there not fully understanding what happened until koa puts the hat on and kal comes back too and yells "Hey!" And kal runs to koa to get the hat back which takes awhile as koa isn't up for giving it back and kal is shorter than koa. Before koa gives it back he dives down to kiss kal and he uses the hat to hide the kiss, after the kiss placing the hat back on kal and koa gently rubs kal's cheek
