Koa looks out to see kal at the bow of the ship looking out to the sea, koa smiles at this. He knows kal will never admit it out loud but koa knows kal loved the sea. When he sees a bird flying towards the ship koa lifts his arm up for the bird to land, he sees the message attached to its leg. He sees kal look over to him and basically runs down the deck to the stern. They both sit in the captains quarters and read the letter from Kin and Ax. "When's the next time we get back darlin'" kal asks after reading the letter.
"Whenever we next can, babe. It can be our next stop" koa sees kal's face light up, "do you wanna write this time." Kal nods and koa gets up and goes out to check on his crew and heading as Kal writes whatever he wants to send back.
The sent the bird off a little while later it'll probably arrive a day before koa and kal do. "What do ya wanna give the little one this time" kal pipes up after a little while.
"I don't know..... should we stop somewhere and get something." Kal laughs quietly at koa as he's slightly stressing about what to bring the kid. "Don't laugh at me I gotta think." A gust of wind hits the two of them from behind and their hats go flying, koa uses his magic to grab them and bring them back. Koa has both and kal pouts "I don' understand why ya made fun of my hat then got one yarself"
"Yours was a choice. Mine was a gift" koa says as he puts Koa's hat on kal's head, "besides you don't suit this one" pointing at the captains hat, as he puts kal's hat on, and starts running to climb up the to the crows nest, kal runs after him.
Once they both gets to the top koa swaps their hats back, as he does he swoops in for a kiss, kal steps back a little koa catches him from going anywhere and kal melts into the kiss. Koa backs off first a little he gently touches his forehead to kal's, both of them having to catch their breath, it takes koa a little longer than kal as his prolonged injury caused his lungs to struggle sometimes. "Darlin' you gotta be careful" he seems a little worried as always.
"I'm fine" he kisses kal's forehead and sits down on the crows nest, kal sits next to him putting his head on koa's shoulder.
They sit and watch the sun down together. In a few days they will be back to see Kin, Ax and the little one.
