Koa has never been one to dress for the weather, he dresses for fashion to look good but right now he wishes he could for once in his life dress for the weather which is boring in his mind. Being shoved into a freezing river tends to mean nothing to tiefling's as they are already quite warm, he's drenched, in pain, struggling to keep warm, all the while trying to battle his thoughts and everything that happened to him when he was taken.
Kal noticed something off immediately with Koa, he saw before Kin noticed. He saw koa asks the inn keeper for the rooms getting enough for everyone, except mikoo tends to share with kin and sometimes koa also shares with them. He gives the keys except his own to ax who hands them out by the time kal got his key koa was gone in his own room. So kal asks the inn keeper what room numbers were given out and then asks ax which number was missing. He needs to figure out what's wrong no matter what it takes.
As soon as koa gets in his room he puts the fire on and curls up next to the fire with the blanket on the bed. He's still freezing. He needs to change his bandages they're soaked and bled through but he doesn't have any. The pain. The cold. He's struggling so much there's nothing he can do. Someone knocks on the door he doesn't move he can't move there's too much happening.
Kal opens the door to koa's room after a few minutes of waiting for him to answer. When he looks into the room he sees koa cuddled up very close to the fire and is still shaking. Kal goes over to koa and crouches down in front of him "hey darlin' you doing okay" no response came back, but tears start falling. Kal does start helping koa change the bandages and helping warm him up. Koa doing the bare minimum needed kal to help him. "Talk to me darlin'. Your freezing"
"I'm sorry"
"Don't be sorry there's nothing to be sorry for"
Koa curls up onto kals lap next to the fire. Koa can't stop crying he's cold and struggling.
Not long later kin shows up at the door fae are pissed at what faem sees. Kin goes over to them and tries to convince koa to move off of kal when he doesn't move fae gets up and leaves the room slamming the door. Which causes koa to flinch in kals grasp.
He's still freezing its taking a long time to warm up but koa is slowly.
