I felt a wave of joy as Lisa returned from Thailand. We decided to celebrate with a dinner gathering, possibly culminating in a sleepover at one of our homes. The prospect of spending time together after Lisa's return was exhilarating.

Rosè, elegantly sipping her wine, directed a question to Lisa. "How are your parents?"

"They're fine. By the way, they asked if you guys could come for Christmas," Lisa replied.

"That sounds like a lot of fun. Do you know when Jisoo unnie is coming?" I inquired, glancing between Rosè and Lisa.

Jisoo unnie, a lawyer, was the last member of our friend group. Although our ages spanned a few years, we were incredibly close-knit. I had met Jisoo in France when I was 19, and since then, she had been a significant part of my life and she lives in New York. Despite the age differences, our bond was strong, a testament to the genuine connection we shared. Jisoo was particularly close to Lisa, forming a deep friendship, while Rosè and I had our own tight-knit bond. Together, we formed a unique quartet that defied the conventional boundaries of age and friendship.

Lisa smiled warmly, adjusting her position as she responded, "I'm not sure about Jisoo unnie's exact plans, but I'll check with her and let you know."

Rosè, always the curious one, leaned forward. "I wonder if we should plan something special for Thanksgiving. It could be like a reunion celebration for all of us."

"That's a fantastic idea!" I chimed in. "Maybe we can host it at one of our places. What do you think, Lisa?"

Lisa nodded in agreement. "Sounds great to me. I'll talk to Jisoo unnie and get back to you with the details."

As the conversation flowed, I couldn't help but feel a surge of gratitude for the strong bonds we shared. Despite the challenges of our individual lives, coming together always felt like a grounding force, a reminder of the enduring friendships that had shaped our journeys. The anticipation of Thanksgiving added an extra layer of excitement, and I looked forward to the warmth and camaraderie it promised.

I reminisce about the times when we were younger, staying up all night together. However, as we grew older, our lives took separate paths, and our get-togethers became less frequent. Each of us now juggles our own busy and individual lives. Jisoo unnie, in particular, is on the brink of a new chapter—marriage. She found love in New York, where her fiancé lived, but he eventually moved to Seoul for work. In a heartwarming turn of events, she decided to relocate to Seoul and tie the knot here. The prospect of her imminent return fills me with joy. I'm eager not only to reunite with her but also to meet the man who captured her heart. The dynamics of our friendship may have evolved, but the anticipation of new beginnings keeps us connected.

We concluded our dinner, leaving the restaurant with arms linked, slightly swaying from the effects of the alcohol.

Turning to each other with a shared sense of mischief, Rosè quirked an eyebrow and asked, "So, what's the plan now?"

Lisa chimed in, suggesting, "How about we head to your place, Rosè?"

Rosè grinned, her eyes sparkling with the promise of a good time. "Sounds like a plan. I've got some great wine waiting for us at home."

We hailed a cab, laughter bubbling out of us as we piled into the backseat. The city lights blurred into streaks as we navigated through the nighttime streets.

Once we arrived at Rosè's apartment, the atmosphere shifted from the lively city to the intimate warmth of her home. The night stretched ahead, filled with the kind of camaraderie that only old friends could share.

As we settled in, Rosè went to fetch the promised wine. Lisa and I made ourselves comfortable on the plush couch, recounting stories and reminiscing about the past. The mention of Jisoo's imminent return added an extra layer of excitement to our gathering.

The doorbell rang, announcing the arrival of a pizza delivery that Rosè had ordered. With the scent of cheese and tomato sauce filling the air, we clinked our glasses in a toast to friendship and the reunion awaiting us with Jisoo.

The night unfolded with laughter, shared secrets, and the kind of unfiltered conversations that happened only in the company of those who knew each other's histories. The bond we had formed over the years seemed to strengthen with every passing moment.
