Taehyung appeared to be adjusting well to my family, even amidst my dad's intense questioning. Despite my father's attempts to appear tough and intimidating, Taehyung handled the situation with confidence and composure, answering every question with ease. It was intriguing to witness his calm demeanour in the face of my dad's interrogation. Despite his imposing presence, there was an underlying sweetness to Taehyung that made him endearing to everyone around him.

"Thank you for the dinner, Mrs. Jeon. It was delicious," Taehyung expressed as we prepared to bid farewell to my parents at the door. "My pleasure. Please come again next time," my mom responded warmly. I was glad to see her positive reaction to him. "Jungkook, are you leaving too?" my dad inquired. "Yeah, appa. I have some work to complete," Jungkook replied, and my mom chimed in, "Sleep well, okay? Don't overwork yourself." Jungkook assured her, "Don't worry, eomma. I'll make sure to get enough rest."

"Do you want a ride?" I offered Jungkook. "Only if you both don't mind," he replied. "Of course, we wouldn't mind, right Tae?" I asked teasingly, fully aware of how much Taehyung wanted me at that moment. Let's have some fun teasing him. "Of course not," Taehyung responded, though I could sense his tension, knowing my intentions from the moment he glanced at me, his gaze darkening.

As we made our way to the garage, Jungkook and I, like typical siblings, fell into our usual banter, arguing about who Mom loved more for no apparent reason. "Yah, Mandu, we all know eomma loves me more," Jungkook teased, using the nickname he'd given me since we were toddlers. It originated from a moment when I was enjoying dumplings, and he joked that my cheeks resembled the fluffy treats, hence the nickname.

"Oh, shut up, she loves me more," I argued back, still bickering with Jungkook over trivial matters. We were interrupted by a deep laugh. "If you both are done arguing about stupid things, shall we go?" Taehyung's voice cut through our banter as he wrapped an arm around my waist. Jungkook raised an eyebrow, swiftly stepping between us and grabbing my forearm to pull me away from Taehyung. "Don't touch my sister in front of me," he asserted, while I rolled my eyes. "Jungkook, I'm older than you," I retorted. "So?"

"Well, she is my girlfriend," Taehyung declared, gently prying me from Jungkook's grip and drawing me closer by the waist. He planted a playful, wet kiss on my cheek, prompting Jungkook to feign disgust with an exaggerated expression, eliciting laughter from me. "Let's get in the car," I suggested, eager to move past the playful sibling rivalry.

We made our way to the car, Jungkook sliding into the backseat while Taehyung and I settled in the front. As Taehyung started the engine, Jungkook leaned forward, his playful smirk indicating he wasn't quite finished with his teasing. "Just remember, Tae, she's my sister. Treat her right," Jungkook warned, his tone light but carrying a hint of protectiveness. Taehyung chuckled, his eyes meeting mine in the rearview mirror. "Don't worry, Jungkook. I know how to take care of her," he assured, his gaze filled with warmth and sincerity.
