A's Secret - Alice

[Y/n's PoV]

I was busy with paper work in my office. Ugh, being Varka's sister has its pros and cons, to be honest. He requested me not to go with him on an adventure for this month, but promised me that I'll accompany him once he's done with the current. Now, I'm stuck helping the acting grand master with Varka's own paper work.

Bang!

The door opened and Klee appeared on the doorway, with her usual big excited smiles.

“Big sister, Y/n! Big sister, Y/n!”

“Klee, there you are.”

I stood up from the chair to greet Klee and kneel to the young one's height. I then picked her up in a warm embrace.

“What brings you here, my little troublemaker?”

Klee giggled when she got lifted and immediately wrapped her arms around my neck.

“Uh-uh! Guess what?!” She asked enthusiastically.

I loved how adorable Klee was, but I also know she had that naughty side that was just waiting to come out at any moment. I chuckled.

“Hmm, let me think...” I pretended to think for a moment. “You blew up a fish pond again?”

Klee only shakes her head.

“No? Hmm, then what is it, Klee?” I asked.

She holds out a bottle.

“Oh? What's this?”

I took the mysterious bottle from Klee's hand and examined it closely. It looked like there was a piece of paper inside it.

I tried to remove the cork that sealed the bottle shut, but it seemed to be tightly attached. Klee giggled while she watched me struggle with the bottle. She clearly had something up her sleeve.

“Where did you get this from, little one?”

Klee simply replied with a wide grin. “Guess, big sister!”

I was already starting to guess what was going on, but decided to play along. “Alright, alright. Did you steal it from Albedo again?”

Klee laughed again and shook her head. “Nuh-uh! Try again!”

I chuckled and feigned another guess. “Hmm, was it Jean who gave it to you?”

“Nope!” Klee replied gleefully.

I knew Klee was playing with me to make me guess more and more. I sighed playfully.

“Alright, I give up. Tell me, Klee. Where did you get this bottle from?”

Klee's big grin widened even more.

“I got it from my mom!” she finally answered.

Hearing the word 'mom' got me a little curious. So it was from her mother, Alice? What could be in this bottle that made Klee so excited about it?

“She was... here?”

Klee nodded eagerly. “Yep! She visited me a few hours ago and gave me this bottle. She told me to give it to you!”

Klee then pointed at the piece of paper inside the bottle. “She also wrote something on it, but told me the bottle won't open unless you're alone!”

“....”

I decided to humor Klee for a bit longer. “Well, I suppose I have to wait until I'm alone to read the message then!”
