Can't Catch Me Now / Severus Snape

6. Vampire

They fell into a rhythm. Harry spent the mornings with Severus and the afternoons with Lilith. Harry liked his sleep, much like LIlith so being in the dungeons right beside the potions class, he could sleep in while severus got ready. 

Lilith was up a few floors and had a beautiful view outside that harry liked to look out over in the evenings while he colored or played with his toy cars. 

Harry got used to sleeping int he castle, he used more blankets to stay warm, it was cooler in the lower levels. He found himself wearing his sweaters in the morning and abandoning it in the afternoon when he was up in the ancient runes class. That was also because Lilith made sure her runes were kept at the perfectly controlled temperature for best preservation. But when the artifacts were put away, she cranked up the heat.

Lilith would claim she wasnt warm unless she was wrapped up in severus arms. 

Halloween came too fast and harry was running around in a superman cape. Although severus didnt want to dress up Lilith reminded him it was a halloween party and she refused to show up with him in a state of undress. Severus rolled his eyes but came back in what he called, his Sherlock Holmes costume.

Then they were off. 

"HARRY!" Draco shouted pulling him inside. 

"You are batman!" Harry declared.

"And you are superman!" Draco agreed. 

"Lucius!" Lilith declared as he kissed her cheek. 

"Lilith, as lovely as always." Lucius answered before shaking severus hand. Lilith flashed him a fanged smile. 

"We match lucius." Lilith declared. "I wanted Sevy to dress up more but..." she drawled out. 

"I am in costume." Severus corrected. 

"Look at all these!" Draco shouted as they ran around the manor. 

"This cookie is bigger than my face!" Harry declared, wide eyed, he took a large bite laughing out. 

"My vampire dearest, can I offer you some blood?" Lucius offered leading them to the drinks.

"Oh yes, please." Lilith mused laughing into him. Severus gaze shifted around seeing Harry and Draco chasing each other. A few other boys and girls were dancing around, already high on sugar it seemed. It was strange how Severus and Lucius had become friends and after all these years their sons were friends as well. It was nice knowing that Harry would hopefully have a friend for life.

"Stop trying to steal my wife, Lucius." Severus warned. Lilith laughed out reaching for Severus, she bit at his neck, he felt the false fangs drag along his skin, she pulled back the sexiest of smiles on her face. 

"Mommy!" Harry declared. "Look at the size of this cookie!"

"Wow!" Lilith declared crouching before him. "Thats a big cookie." 

"And look what draco got us." He held up a glass much like the adults alcohol filled wine and whiskey glasses but theirs had sprite and candy eye balls and brains.

"Ohhh, eating eyes." Severus chuckled.  Harry moved to him beckoning him closer. 

"It's not real." Harry assured him. "I dont like eye balls."

"Have you tried them before?" lucius mused, Harrys lips puckered, his brow furrowed and he ran off. 

"Lucius you out did yourself!" Lilith remarked. "This is... everything is so beautiful, where is Narcissa?"

"making sure everything is running smoothly no doubt. SHe is a perfectionist." Lucius reminded Lilith. 

"Everything is certainly perfect." Lilith corrected. "Your elves are quite skilled as well."

"Yes... they do their job." Lucius agreed. 

"You should give them the day off tomorrow." Severus agreed, Lucius gaze shifted deadly to Severus, a smile cracked across his face knowing Lucius saw the house elves as slaves, not just servants. 

"I think we need another drink, my goblet of blood is gone." Lilith cut in. "Come on now," she heard the monster mash playing from the band and she shimmied towards Severus. "He did the monster mash, it was a graveyard smash!" She sung out. Severus laughed spinning her around. 

"We should do matching costumes every year!" Draco declared. 

"Totally! What should we be next year?" Harry questioned. 

"Ummmm more super heroes?" Draco questioned. 

"Or Monsters?" harry questioned. 

"I could be a mummy." Draco agreed. 

"I could be a... a... werewolf!" 

"They are so cute." Lilith cooed looking to the boys. 

"Harry is adorable." Severus agreed. "He gets it from you."

By the time they got back to Hogwarts that night, Harry was passed out from his sugar high, drooling into Severus shoulder. They headed down the steps slowly, Lilith pushed open the doors as Severus tried not to wake Harry. When they got Harry to bed, Severus lay him down carefully, Lilith pulled off his shoes and gently tugged at his cape, wiped the chocolate from his face and they would deal with the rest of his costume tomorrow. 

Severus kissed along Liliths neck as she peeled away her costume. Her gaze shifted over her shoulder smiling back at him. 

They didnt have to say anything to know exactly what each other was thinking. Lilith let her outfit fall at her feet, she would deal with the mess of clothes scattered around their chambers in the morning because tonight they were going to love the night away.
