5. I'm Free

Aria yawned stretching out and punching severus in the stomach in the process.

"Ohh," severus groaned back.

"Ahh," Aria countered happily. Lilith held aria hostage in her arms a moment longer. "Mummy," aria whispered. "I cant breathe." Lilith reluctantly let her go. "And im free!" Aria shouted jumping up and jumping on the bed.

"I want to bug harry at class." Aria decided.

"You are with me little miss. Harry is in school now. He has tests and classes. A real schedule." Lilith corrected.

"Boo!" Aria corrected.

"Come on get dressed." Severus insturcted and aria flew off the bed as if she was a bird. "Shes going to break something one of these days." Severus realized.

"Yes. Luckily for her we can fix her broken bones easy enough." Lilith agreed.

"Hey," severus grabbed her arm gently and pulled her back to him. Kissing her gently. "I will keep an eye on him."

"I know you will." Lilith assured. "He loves you so much. He wants to be just like you." Severus chuckled shaking his head. "You remember when we first got to Hogwarts? Harry wanted to check on you that first day. Make sure you were alright. Thought you might be lonely.... I just have a bad feeling and maybe its just..." lilith shrugged. "Maybe its not anything. Maybe its just me being a mother that doesnt want to let go but-"

"I feel it to. I love you and the kids. I would do anything to protect you three." He added.  "Try not to worry. Its just the first day. What could go wr-"

"Everything!"

"Mama im ready and my tummy is grumbling!" Aria declared.

Severus held back a smile as harry and draco came into the classroom. He waited until the students were seated before standing up straighter and taking control of the room.

"There will be no foolish wand waving or silly incantations in this class. As such, I don't expect many of you to appreciate the subtle science and exact art that is potion making. However, for those select few..." Severus remarked looking at Draco and Harry, who smiled in return. Severus liked that they sat together still. "who possess the predisposition, I can teach you how to bewitch the mind and ensnare the senses. I can tell you how to bottle fame, brew glory and even put a stopper..." Draco smirked elbowing harry. "in death." Draco rose his eyebrows. "Then again, maybe some of you have come to Hogwarts in possession of abilities so formidable that you feel confidant enough to not... pay... attention." Severus went on moving towards Ron, as he yawned out tipping back in his chair.

"Weasley no doubt." Severus remarked kicking rons chair back down to the ground. Ron nodded nervously. "Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?" Severus questioned. Hermione rose her hand. Ron shrugged. "You don't know? Well, let's try again. Where, mr weasley, would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?" Harry rose his hand.

"Umm umm umm," ron stuttered nervously.

"And what is the difference between monkshood and wolfbane?" Severus pondered.  Hermione was practically jumping out of her seat.

"Mr Malfoy? Harry? Can you enlighten the class?" Severus quizzed.

"asphodel and wormwood make a sleeping potion so powerful, it is known as the Draught of Living Death." Draco remarked proudly.

"A bezoar is a stone taken from the stomach of a goat and it will save you from most poisons." Harry added. Severus wished lilith was here to see their son now. "But monkshood and wolfsbane, they are the same plant, which also goes by the name of aconite." Harry declared.

"Very good you two." Severus agreed. "Well?" Severus questioned the students. "Why aren't you all copying this down?" Quickly they all got their quilled out writing down what he said. Severus returned to his desk, and dips his quill into some ink. "And thanks to both Gryffindors and Slytherins knowledge- Mr Draco and Mr Harry five points will be give to both your houses." There was a little cheer of excitement.

Harry hung back after class, waiting for everyone to leave. It wasnt a surprise or a secret to anyone. He was Harry Snape after all but there was a reason why severus called him Harry and not Mr Snape.

"Hi dad."

"Harry." He answered giving his shoulder a squeeze. "You did well today."

"Thanks." Harry whispered

"You have charms next dont you? You dont want to be late."

"I know... how is mum?" Harry questioned. Severus chuckled.

"She misses you already of course. She would love that you asked about her." Severus added. He hugged him quickly before sending him on his way. Harry waved back at him from the door. Severus smiled reciprocating his affection.
