14. Stronger

"Your boy is stronger than I thought."

" you stay away from Harry!" Lilith demanded.

" he has bested me yet again... it's a shame really. But will make him that much sweeter." Tom assured.

" when I get out of here-"

" I will be gone and you won't be able to catch me. I will just keep following you around forever. To tormenting you making you look over your shoulder constantly. You will never know a day of peace in your life." Tom corrected as he walked slow circle around her.

" would you stop going in against my son and come at me for once?" Lilith challenged

" what fun would that be?"

" pick on someone your own size?" Lilith suggested.

" what fun would that be?" he repeated. " I will see you again lilith evans. Filthy little mud blood that you are..."

" I look forward to it." She snapped back.

Fawkes emitted a soft grunt, then lowered his head to Harry's wound, and cried on it. the wound miraculously disappeared.

"Of course! Phoenix tears have healing powers. " Harry realized.  "Thanks." he added "Its all right, Ginny. It's over. It's just a memory."

"You both realize, of course, that in the past few hours, you have broken, perhaps, a dozen school rules."

"Yes, sir." They answered.

" And there is sufficient evidence to have you both expelled." Albus questioned.

"Yes, sir."

Severus couldnt help it. He hugged harry he didn't know if it was a loving gesture, or I'm going to strangle you boy, for almost getting yourself, murdered at the hands of the dark Lord.

"Therefore, it is only fitting... that you both receive special awards for services to the school. "

"Thanks, sir."

" And now, Mr. Weasley, if you would, have an owl deliver these release papers to Azkaban. I believe we... we want our gamekeeper back. " Albus added, Ron ran off. "Harry... first, I want to thank you, Harry. You must've shown me real loyalty down in the Chamber. Nothing but that could've called Fawkes to you. And, second... I sense something is troubling you. Am I right, Harry?"

Severus glanced between them. Severus was loyal to albus but when lilith was gone. He couldnt think straight. He just needed her back. Aria was in the infirmary with lilith right now demanding she wake up this instant.

"You see, sir. I couldn't help but notice certain things... certain... certain similarities between... Tom Riddle and me." Harry admitted looking to his father.

"I see. Well, you can speak Parseltongue, Harry. Why? Because, Lord Voldemort can speak Parseltongue. If I'm not mistaken, Harry, he transferred some of his powers to you the night he gave you that scar." Albus added. Severus sucked in a tight breath.

"Voldemort transferred some of his powers... to me?" Harry rasped. "Dad?"

"Uh-huh. Not intentionally. But yes." Albus agreed. Severus couldn't look at Harry. He knew it was possible for the moment he started talking to snakes. But he didn't wanna believe his son had a connection to the man that tried to kill him that did kill his aunt and uncle.

" So, the Sorting Hat was wrong then; I should be in Slytherin."

"It's true, Harry. You possess many of the qualities that Voldemort himself prizes: Determination, resourcefulness, and if I may so, a certain disregard for the rules. Why then, did the Sorting Hat place you in Gryffindor?"

"I dont know." Harry countered. "I wanted to be in slytherin." He added.

"It is not our abilities that show what we truly are, it is our choices. If you want proof why you belong in Gryffindor, then I suggest you look more closely at this." harry took the blade from him.

"Be careful." Severus requested.

" I swear just use this sword against a giant basilisk I think I'll be OK ." Harry reminded him  

" I'm your father sue me, I want you to be careful ." Severus grumbled. The name Godric Gryffindor was on the Basilisk venom-coated blade'

" Godric Gryffindor." Harry read off.

"Ah. It would take a true Gryffindor to pull that out of the hat."

" like a magician..." harry offered.

"Master has given Dobby a sock."

"What? I didn't give you a..." Lucius hissed.

" Master has presented Dobby with clothes. Dobby is free!"

"Snape." Lucius hissed. Harry smiled back at him. " I come to check on the state of your mother and this is the thanks I get?"

"It's more for my safety than to anger you sir." Harry assured. "He's... not the best house elf. He tried to kill me a few times." harry whispered. "If mother found out, she would skin you both." Lucius frowned his face turning down.

"Is she awake yet?"

"No." Harry whispered.

"Im sorry this happened to her." Lucius added.

"Me too." Harry agreed slumping off to the dining hall for supper.

" Harry, it's Hermione." Neville declared. Harry and Ron turned to look at the doorway to see Hermione standing there and both greet her with beaming smiles. Hermione, overjoyed to see her two best friends again, runs to them. They both get up to greet her; she ran right up to Harry and they embraced. Hermione was just about to hug Ron as well before suddenly stepping back.

"Um..." Ron shook her hand awkwardly. "We-welcome back, Hermione."

" It's good to be back. Congratulations. I can't believe you solved it." Hermione declared.

"Well, we had loads of help from you. We couldn't have done it without you."

"Harry did what? He went up against Voldemort? Fucking fuck, fuck, fuck!" Lilith shouted. "I... GOD!"

"You are back, that is all that matters." Severus assured.

"Where is he?" Lilith demanded as she smashed aria to her. Aria didnt even care that she was being suffocated. She missed her mother that much.

When Harry told her of the book, of the snake, of Ginny wealsey lilith was horrified that her baby had to go through all that. She blinked back at him. At a complete loss for words.

"Oh baby." She whispered holding him closer. She knew then what the journal was, she knew what she had to do.

"Its gone, I destroyed it. Mum... who is Tom Riddle?" Lilith's eyes turned dark. "Who is he really? Is he-"

"A monster."

"Could I have your attention, please?" Minerva instructed getting the student attention.

"Mum-"

" I spoke to him when I was petrified. I had a conversation with him a few actually." Lilith remarked glancing to severus. " He's never going to stop not really..."

"Before we begin the feast, let us have a round of applause for Professor Sprout, Madame Pomfrey, whose Mandrake juice has been so successfully administered to all who had been Petrified." Albus declared. "Also, in light of the recent events, as a school treat, all exams have been canceled."

Well, she is broke out in the main dining hall. He looked at his mother fear course through her. 

" he's coming back whether we like it or not. Torment us in our minds or he torment us in real life..." lilith realized. " we need to be ready when he comes."
