81. Always Open

"If any of you know how to fix broken hinges, my door is always open!"

"Your door? What did you do to your door aria?" Severus demanded.

"Blame the owls."

"Aria." Severus countered

"I changed my mind my door is closed..." when she propped something in front of it.

'Well everything is prepared.' Remus said 'the spell I'm going to try and teach you is the Petronas charm have you ever heard of it?' Harry nodded, his mother and father had told him, he wanted his mother here to help, his father too but maybe it was better, less pressure with Remus.  ''the Patronas is a positive force in the wizard that can conjure your wand will act as a shield against the Dementor but in order for it to work you need to think of a memory not just any memory of very happy memory a very powerful memory can you do this? Yes very well close your eyes.' Remus instructed in Harry close his eyes, 'explore your past do you have a memory?' harry nodded. 'Allow it to fill you up, lose yourself in the memory and then speak the incantation expecto Patronum.'

'Expecto Patronum.' Harry repeated

'Very good are you ready? wand at the ready...' Remus said unlocking the trunk harry got his wand ready he popped open the lid and the Dementor flew out.

'Expecto Patronum,' harry said, nothing happened. 'expecto... expect-oh.' Harry said collapsing to the ground.

'That's all right.' Remus sat harry up as Lilith rushed in.

'I told you to wait for me!' Lilith declared kneeling beside Harry. "Oh baby-  REMUS!" SHe hissed. 

''I didn't expect you to get it on the first try.' Remus said, 'Lilith darling, we got bored of waiting,' remus told her.

'I'm early.' She told him, pointing at the clock.

'sorry, Lils.' Remus said grinning over at her as she growled back at him.

''Yes that is what I am here.' she handed over a piece of chocolate 'it helps you will feel better as you know but I'm his mother what have I said about putting my son in dangerous situations?"

"Nothing." Remus answered. 

"Because it should be logical for an adult to understand!" Lilith shouted punching him in the shoulder. 

''That is one nasty dementor.' Harry remarked leaning into Lilith.

''No no that was a Bogart.' Remus told him relighting the candles that got blown out. 'the real thing will be much worse. As a matter of interest what were you thinking about which memory did you choose?'

'The first time I rode a broom.' Harry told him and both savanna and remus chuckled

'Well that's not Good enough not nearly good enough.' Remus told him discouraged Harry walked around the room.

'think deeper,' Lilith told him. 'something in the heart.'

'what do you think of mum? WHen you do it?' harry questioned.

'The day I married your father, the day you and your sister were born, anything with the three of you gets a powerful patronas.' Lilith informed him. Sometimes memories of Lily and the gang brought a smile to her face.  'think of a memory, the best memory that really goes down to the heart, pulls at your heart and you just cant help just smile when you think about it.''

'I think I have one." Harry agreed. 

'Is it strong?' remus questioned.

'Yes.''
