"Excuse me, sir. Where's Professor Lupin?"

"That's not really your concern, is it, weasley?" Snape answered. "Suffice it to say your professor finds himself incapable of teaching... ...at the present time. Turn to page 394."

"Werewolves"?

"Sir, we just learned about red caps and hinkypunks." Hermione corrected. "We're not meant to start that for weeks."

"Quiet."

"Listen to daddy. He doesnt get paid enough to deal with your stupidity." Aria annunciated. Severus smiled down at her running a hand over her head.

"Thank you darling." Aria nodded in answer.

"When did she come in? Did you see her come in?" Ron questioned.

" Now, which one of you can tell me the difference... between an Animagus and a werewolf? No one? How disappointing." Severus answered staring at Hermiones raised hand.

"Please, sir. An Animagus is a wizard who elects to turn into an animal. A werewolf has no choice. With each full moon... ...he no longer remembers who he is. He'd kill his best friend. The werewolf only responds to the call of its own kind." Draco howled out.

"Thank you, Mr. Malfoy. That's the second time... ...you've spoken out of turn,  Miss Granger. Are you incapable of restraining yourself..." Severus tsked. "...or do you take pride in being an insufferable know-it-all?"

"He's got a point, you know." Ron murmured.

"Five points from Gryffindor." Severus added. "As an antidote to your ignorance, and on my desk, by Monday morning... ...two rolls of parchment on the werewolf, with emphasis... .on recognizing it. "

"Umm," harry hesitated knowing his father was a stickler for the rules and assignments.

"Snape." He agreed slowly as harry rose his hand.

"lt's Quidditch tomorrow." Harry reminded him. Severus loved a good game loved watching his son fly across the pitch but he couldnt give special treatment.

"Then l suggest you take extra care, young mr Snape. Loss of limb will not excuse you. Page 394."

"Thanks dad. I feel the love." Harry teased getting to the right page. Severus gave his shoulder a squeeze as he passed.

"The term "werewolf"... is a contraction of the Anglo-Saxon word "wer"... ...which means "man," and "wolf." Werewolf, man-wolf. There are several ways to become a werewolf. They include being given the power of shape-shifting... being bitten by a werewolf...."

"Severus you jinxed it." Lilith demanded

"Loss of limb and falling from the sky are two different things." Severus corrected. "And he is going to be fine. He is. Really he is... he has to be." They watched harry stir from sleep after his fall at the quidditch game.

"He looks a bit peaky, doesn't he?"

" Peaky? What do you expect? He fell over 1 00 feet." Fred answered.

" Let's walk you off a tower and see what you look like." George agreed

" Probably a right sight better than he normally does." Harry groaned out.

"How are you feeling?"

"Oh, brilliant." Harry mused as lilith hugged him gingerly.

"You gave us a right good scare."

" What happened?" Harry questioned.

"Well, you fell off your broom." Ron answered.

"Really? l meant the match. Who won?" Harry corrected.

"Oh sweetie." Lilith kissed his cheek.

"Um, no one blames you, Harry."
Hermione assured.

"Dementors aren't supposed to be on the grounds. Dumbledore's furious. After he saved you, he sent them off."  Draco added. "You scared us all. They did too for that matter."

"There's something else you should know too." Hermione remarked. "When you fell, your broom sort of blew into the Whomping Willow, and.... Well...." she held out his broken broomstick.

"My, my, my," harry couldnt utter words he stared down at his broken broom. He waited until his friends left before crying into lilith.

"Its just a broom." Lilith reminded him "You are alive baby. Thats all that matters. Brooms can be replaced. You are safe and sound,"

"Do i still have to do my defense against the dark arts assignment?"
