Chapter 40
Pursue
I visited the Orphanage. I am very happy to see the kids. Sobrang na miss ko sila. It felt like I hadn't seen them for years. Hindi ko gustong nawalay ako sa kanila, but I also want to grow. Kaya kakayanin kong tiisin.
I learned that Kerlee's boyfriend was Joseph. Who would've thought na sila pala sa huli? I was very surprised. Lagi kasi silang nag babangayan. They were so cute.
She was still loving, and caring. She gave me a lot of fruit and new clothes to try on. She also bought me new heels para daw sa training ko.
Every one of us was overreacting. Cried for little things, and was very happy for the very little things.
I was heartbroken when I left the orphanage again. I promised to come back pero siguro akong matatagalan. I promised myself, too.
I want a life I always imagine.
The life that I've been dreaming of. Alam kong kaya kong abutin iyon. I just need to become stronger and be more confident. I know I can do it. Aruna was able to survive different hardest battles in her life, and I know I'm still the same Aruna. Kaya alam kong kakayanin ko.
It's official. Talagang tangal na ako sa The Grand. Totoong tinanggal na nga ako ni Aello. Pabida di ko naman boss. I planned on leaving too, mas pinadali lang ni Aello ang buhay ko. I keep my job in Yumi's Restaurant though. Kailangan ko pa rin ng trabaho. I'll resign after the training, at kung talagang makakalipad na ako.
I have so many plans, yet, I was just still starting.
I was in awe while looking at the whole exterior.
I'm sure the building has two floors. It's the most modern building I have seen. It's like a two-box put together. The building is almost all glass. It almost looked like a house.
I entered the glass double doors. I was greeted by a big sign, a big colorful beautiful butterfly painted on the wall with the words written below it: Sanctuaire des papillons, Which means Butterfly Sanctuary.
I stared at the painting for a few seconds before deciding to enter the place. In different colors, sizes, and positions. It was all butterflies. Even the couch in the middle was full of butterflies.
I whispered.
"Good afternoon, ma'am" A lady greeted me. I only gave her a soft smile.
"This is all so amazing," I said to myself. Pag yumaman ako, I'll make sure to buy a painting here, kahit hindi nila binebenta, ipagpipilit ko.
I entered another big double door. This time it led me to the garden. I can feel the sun hit my face. Napapikit ako. Feeling the moment. This moment feels so serene. Being in a place like this calms my soul. I want to stay here.
The flowers and plants around me are gorgeous. I can see the butterflies flying around the place. It's so many. I can't even decide where to look. They covered the whole place. They dominated it. The flowers bloomed beautifully, but the butterflies were majestic, a work of art. With different colors, designs, and just how beautiful they are, they're easily the most beautiful thing in this world. Butterflies.
