Sara and Oliver had been dating for about a month now and they both had one thing on their mind.

When would they have their first kiss?

In Oliver's mind, he didn't want to rush it. Sure, he saw her have her first one with Patrick at the fair but that didn't count towards it....right?

He doesn't even think Sara had feelings for him at the time. It was unexpected and sure Patrick liked her but for a kiss to mean something, both people should want it...At least that's what Oliver thought. Then Sara dated her brother and though Oliver knew they weren't a match, they didn't kiss...right?

"Why does it seem like every kiss she's had before me mattered?" Oliver groaned as he rubbed his head. If they're dating, it shouldn't matter. Love is so hard when you've been against it for so long and then someone comes that just makes your world to the point of giving it a try, even if there was no guarantee it was forever.

It felt like forever for now.

And now was good enough.

In Sara's mind, she was nervous. She enjoyed being around Oliver, but she broke up with Joe, he saw Patrick kiss her, and he knew how boy-crazy she ended up. She didn't want Oliver to think she was doing too much or being dramatic. Sure, she'd like if her first real kiss was with Oliver but...would he want that? Would he be ready? Has he dated before? Did he date Skyler?

"Why does every person he had before me matter all of a sudden?" Sara says as she writes in her journal. It doesn't matter, right? They are with each other and the firsts they experience with each other are the ones that matter most because they mean a lot to each other.

Sara's face turned red as she thought about all the small moments leading up to them getting together. How did she not notice it would be him all along? It was so obvious now but back then, it was so confusing. She chuckles as she continues to write and smiles.

At least they found each other now.

The next day, Sara and Oliver's families decided to go to a ski lodge for a mini vacation. Winter break was officially here and when Sara mentioned it to the Yang brothers, they decided to combine and just have fun as a group. As Sara's dad packed their car along with the Yang's, Vicky talked with Joe while Oliver swung by Sara.

"I'll see you when we get up there. Make sure you and your family are safe and let me know if anything happens on the way." Oliver mumbled, blushing a bit as he said it and Sara giggled. He's very protective of her and she finds it so cute.

"Yes, Oli. You do the same. I'll see you soon" she says and gives him a big hug. He settles in and hugs her back, happy he finally has her in her arms.

As they let go, they look at each other and a swarm of thoughts happen in their minds. Was this the time? Were they going to-?

*ahem*

They hear Sara's dad cough and they take two big steps back, blushing and looking the other way.

"I like you Yang, but don't think I'm ready to let go yet!" Richard says, as he gently drags Sara to the car. Oliver just gives a thumbs-up and runs to his car.

Definitely not the right time.

Everyone makes it to the lodge 2 hours later. While the snow did hold the groups up, they both made it safely and even saw some wildlife on the way, an unexpected but happy surprise.

As the parents checked them in, Sara, Oliver, Joe, and Vicky explored the lodge together. They pointed out the exciting things like skiing, snowboarding, gingerbread competitions, and the hot cocoa by the fireplace.
