It was a rainy day out and Sara Lin was writing in her journal and looking at the rain from the glass door in her room. With her pink pajamas on (and fuzzy slippers of course), she sighed as she watched the rain come down, hitting the glass. Her mind was wandering about recent events.

Not much has happened you know...

Her and Vicky hung out recently.

She officially got together with Joe.

Sara realized she had feelings for Oliver.

Hmm... I guess a lot has happened then.

"I wonder if..." she says as she glances back at the patio but then shook her head. There's no way Oliver liked her back. He would have gave some type of hint at this point and while Sara thought she had a hint or two from him, nothing happened.

"Why does nothing happen?" She mumbled and she begins to write in her journal again. While Sara hasn't been the best communicator up to this point trying to talk to Oliver, she did know she had a song to write and that he needed it soon.

"He was a great tutor so he deserves a finished song so I will give him one. It has to be about liking someone though. If I wrote about him...would he know?" She said quietly and gently bit her lip. It just felt so risky writing a song about the boy she liked but she knew her feelings for him were beyond anyone else she had feelings for. It had to be him or a mediocre song and Sara knew she could do better than mediocre.

Sara started off writing words she thought of when she thought of Oliver and figured she could go from there.

"I'm done with words," Sara said blushing and beginning to figure out the words could flow together. What could rhyme? How can she turn it into a poem? Once she figures it out, she begins to put it together. She was smiling as she felt like the song was coming together.

Sara grabs a heart-shaped necklace she is wearing and smiles softly.

"I'm just like you Mom" She says softly, gently wiping a tear away before it hits the page.

The next night, Sara came home and picked up her journal. She was excited to write again and since it wasn't raining, she decided to go outside. She excitedly went outside and sat down, eager to begin. As she was about to write, she could hear a cough and her head snapped up.

No. Way.

He is not outside right now.

Sara took a deep breath and glanced over at Oliver, her breath hitched as she saw him. Oliver looked nice as always. His glasses framed his face just right and his hair always looked like a golden dream. The white sweater was a nice change with some olive green pants to accompany it.

"Hi, Sara Lin," Oliver says small and waving. Sara just waved and looked back at her book.

There's no way she could focus now.

An awkward beat passes and Sara sighs. She didn't know what to do. Going back in would be wrong but staying out here seems too awkward. Why her? Why did this happen?

"I wanted to talk to you but you seem to be everywhere I'm not these days. You've even missed our last tutoring session. If I did something, then I'd like to know. You can't fail cause of me, Sara Lin. You still need to graduate. We can get you another tutor." Oliver said, wincing towards the end.

That's the last thing he wanted but he doesn't know what happened with Sara and would feel bad if he blocked her from graduating. He could keep it cordial and keep going.

It was another awkward silence again and Oliver sighed, contemplating going back in before Sara spoke

"I...I don't want another tutor Oliver. I'm sorry for avoiding you." Sara said, looking at him. "I should just say what's on my mind but can't explain it." Sara stood and her journal fell out of her lap.

Maybe she can say how she's feeling. Maybe she did it already.

"I think...I should show you this" Sara said and grabs the journal to show Oliver. Oliver felt his heart beating as she came over to him. She's perfect as always.

He read what was in the journal, a slight blush coming over his face.

"I...don't know what to say..." Oliver started and Sara nodded, knowing the conversation could go this way. Her heart sanked.

"other than thank you." Oliver finished, smiling a bit and Sara looked at him wide eyed.

"This is the nicest thing anyone has done for me. I appreciate it Sara Lin." he said, reading it over and over.

"I understand why now and...you've taught me how things that can be scary are things we should go for so I will. I like you Sara and I've liked you for a long time. Maybe our timing was wrong before but I think it's our time now. What do you think?" Oliver says as he reaches a hand over to her balcony.

Sara smiled big and grabbed his hand gently.

"I think you're right" she smiled back.

They talked all night and the next day when they had to go to school, they went hand and hand.
