Oliver and Sara are finally together but everyone can't know just yet. Remember, every secret has an expiration date.

Oliver's POV

I link hands with Sara as we leave the mini golf place and steal a glance at her. Her red hair bobs up and down as she jumps happily from winning the game. She won a golden golf ball while I just got a crappy coupon to come back for a free game later. She talks animatedly about her favorite thing in the golf place, I smile at her. She's so great.

It was our first date as a couple and things went better than I thought it would. The shift from friends to more always made me nervous but Sara assured me we would go on my schedule and timing and it has helped the process. I know she would probably like it more sped up, but the fact that she's willing to wait makes me realize how much I liked her to begin with.

When we get back to the apartments, Sara and I say goodnight and she makes a throwaway comment about how she was excited to tell Vicky when I froze. I feel this immense pressure on me all of a sudden.

People knowing?

I feel like Sara's the safe bubble; anyone can pop it. There's nothing with Vicky but it makes me nervous. Sara must have noticed my pale face because she let go of her door handle to ask what was wrong.

"Sara, I...I don't know if I want people to know yet." I say nervously. Sara takes a deep breath and nods, but I can tell tears are welling in her eyes.

"Are you...embarrassed of me?" She mumbles and I widen my eyes and shake my head. I grab my hands and lift her head to mine, as she closes her eyes tightly before opening them again.

"I'm not. You are one of the best things that have ever happened to me, hands down. I just, feel like it'll be a lot of questions and pressure if people know so can we just, keep it secret for now until I'm ready?" I ask worriedly. Sara nods and gives me a gentle hug, returning it and loving how she fits perfectly.

We say goodnight and head to our separate rooms. I just need some time.

The next day, Sara, Joe, and I all meet up to walk together and I think Joe started to get suspicious. I gravitated towards Sara, making her smile while Joe raised an eyebrow. We all talk until we get to school and Sara hugs us both, mine being a little bit longer than his making me smile. As Joe and I walk to class, He looks at me with a curiosity. I think if I wanted this to be a secret, it wasn't going to be for long.

Patrick and Sara met up and were talking and walking to class together. Patrick messed with her hair while she pushed him off and laughed and I felt my heart drop and skip all at once. People always assumed it would be those two getting together and I did too.

During lunch, Vicky surprised Joe so they ate together while Sara and I decided to eat together. We sat by a tree as we began to open our lunches and talked.

Vicky's POV

As Joe and I ate, I glanced up to see my cousin and Oliver laughing at something, sitting a bit closer than normal.

"Joe...Is there something I don't know about? If they're together and she didn't tell me, I will get her! I'm asking!" I say as I get up but Joe tugs my hand and pulls me back down gently.

"I think it is, but Oliver has always been shy and I think if it's anyone nervous, it's him. I've been wondering if he's liked Sara though and I think he does but we don't know if he made a move yet. Let them do it on their own" He tells me and I nod and enjoy my lunch with Joe. He's right but it is eating at me though.

Third Person POV

A week passed and Oliver knew it was time to let people know. Joe made a throwaway comment about coming to him for anything and Oliver knew the war was over way longer than he thought it could last. He heads to Sara's and knocks three times on the door and Richard Lin opens it, raising an eyebrow and then smiling at Oliver.

"Golden Guitar Boy. The one that isn't a gangster. Always love seeing you. Come on in." He says and Oliver laughs a bit before coming in. Richard yells for Sara and then shows Oliver some baby pictures of her.

"Daaaaaaad. That is embarrassing. Please stop" Sara groans and Oliver laughs a bit, putting a hand over his mouth. Richard mentioned how that was part of a dad's job while Sara grabbed Oliver's hand to pull him away from the scene.

As she closed her door, she shook her head as Oliver laughed again which made Sara laugh with him. When the laughs died down, she glanced at Oliver, wondering if she should mention what was on her mind. Vicky asked if there was anything she should know and since Sara wanted to follow Oliver's wishes, she lied which didn't make her feel good at all. Oliver took notice and knew they had the same thing on their mind.

"Can we talk?" They both said at the same time and giggled before bringing it back together.

"Oliver, I enjoy being with you and I did say I would take it at your pace but...Vicky asked me about us and I had to lie and that honestly didn't make me feel good so I feel conflicted. I want to respect your wishes but, I also don't want to lie to my cousin" Sara started and Oliver pushed up his glasses and nodded.

"Sara, I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I didn't mean to. Even Joe is getting suspicious and I wanted to tell you that I wanted to let people know too. I think every secret has an expiration date and ours is now" Oliver said slowly and Sara jumped happily before hugging him. Oliver shakes his head but smiles knowingly.

They called over Joe to tell him first and then Vicky after and while they both knew it, they were happy to finally hear it. Sara called Patrick and he had a feeling too (not really, Rose told him at first, and then he noticed) and was glad he knew.

The next day at school, when Sara and Oliver came in and held hands, knowing looks were exchanged but everyone was happy to see it out. It's about time these two got together.
