"Sara Lin?"

"Yes Oliver?"

"I'm done playing games"

"What are you-?"Sara gets cut off as Oliver comes up to kiss her. Sara's eyes widened at what was happening and gasps were heard all across the room.

But maybe I'm going too fast. Let's rewind a bit.

Sara Lin was dreaming in class, as always of course. Her mind wandered to the usual suspects, boys of course. She began doodling on the page, her red hair falling gently around her as the teacher went on about something she should probably be listening to. Eventually, she took notice of what she had drawn and stopped herself. A chibi version of Oliver Yang now graced her page, staring back at her making her wonder why she chose to draw him out of everyone else she could have picked. Her hand smacks her forehead gently in frustration.

"Ms. Lin, do you know the answer?" A disgruntled Mr. Walters asks Sara. She glances up quickly and shakes her head no for a bit after trying to come up with an answer. She enjoyed science but wasn't feeling it today but she wished she was when she heard the next words from Mr. Walter's

"After school detention. 3 PM."

Sara nodded and sighed.

Today was going to be a long one.

Oliver was in another part of the building, carefully taking his exam when he heard a whisper coming from him. Oliver, thinking he heard things continued reading his test question:

"Who led the revolution-"

"psst...Oliver. What's #13?" a voice rang. Oliver rolled his eyes as he pushed up his glasses. Oliver never really talked to many people so having someone trying to get answers was just annoying to him. People just need to study.

"I'm not telling you the answer" Oliver mumbled.

"What?"

"I said I'm not telling you the answer!" Oliver accidentally shouts, having everyone's attention on him. Ms. Mitchell gives him a look, raising one eyebrow from the sudden burst. Oliver is usually a pretty good student but if she let him slide, everyone would take advantage of the policy.

"After school detention Mr. Yang. It's unacceptable to yell during a test."

"Ms. Mitchell, I-" Oliver starts but Ms. Mitchell shakes her head and holds her hand up, signaling the conversation is over.

Today was going to be a long day.

Oliver trudges into after-school detention seeing about 20 kids spread all around the room. Each student had their notebooks out writing or doing homework and he was going to sit in the back until he noticed someone familiar sitting towards the middle. Sara's red hair and yellow-orange star clip were the only things bringing life to the room as he walked over and sat by her. Oliver's face turned a bit red, heart thumping with each gradual step he took. He slides in quickly, taking off his backpack as Sara glances over and eyes widen to see Oliver.

"Oliver?! What are you doing here? You would never get detention."

"I could say the same for you, Sara Lin. How did you-?"

"Shh!" a noise rang out, Mr. Marcus looking at the two angrily. Both apologized but that didn't stop Sara from secretly passing Oliver a note or Oliver passing it back. Both talked quickly, writing their thoughts on the small yet discreet paper and passing it when the teacher wasn't looking. It was thrilling and funny and they both enjoyed this more than they would admit.
